Yorick rework: Coming from someone who mained him in season 4 then retired.
problems with old yorick
no riot its not because we dont want to be a gravedigger but il let you in on the secret of why no one was playing him.
Inherently hard countered other kits this is the sole reason and cause for his his old state the fact that he hard countered basically everything, is what got him nerfed, got him taken of free week rotation, and at that point he was at the bottom of the barrel for years. mana issues items nerfed into obscurity items retuned for other classes. and the list goes on.
NEW YORICK Visually. i wasn't expecting much here, i like the beard its updated and we still slap people with a shovel but now im a monk? and a shepperd? ok sure w/e, it works for me. kit + gameplay so first his passive and Q+W+E I think the kit is good. especially the heal from E to Q which i remember suggesting many times. I like how the new summoning works just plz dont make the mistwalkers too squishy there is aoe on almost every champion so team fights he might be quite weak in practice, although it seems that's what you are going for. and that mini J4 ult hmmm nice. E ok just another plain synergy system with the rest of the kit i dig it cool that you gave him a second skill shot gives him more counterplay which in the end is good for the overall health of the game. all in all i would say yea this works i got some new fancy tools while still keeping my old ones albeit changed for the better.
His new ult I like it and i fear it. The fact that i get a potential permanent minion that helps me kill things is downright awesome. however thats also where i feel the problem with his new kt arises, Would it be possible to make it a controllable minion that does ok damage but no has auto attack synergy with Yorick? to me this feels like the old Yorick problem all over again no counterplay once you hit level 6
tl;dr i was not expecting an updated Yorick (I mean even I as someone who used to main him can tell you he needed drastic changes) I was expecting a new Yorick and that is what happened for all its intent and purposes
