There used to be these skin splash art updates every few weeks which had some AMAZING results. It's been a while since the last one and I wonder why? Is it because it's limited to champs that recently had visual updates? Then why isn't Miss Fortune getting updated? And why did Morgana get only one skin updated while she has other very outdated skins?
Spideraxe4 votesThe team is focusing on finishing Eve splashes so the Miss Fortune splash update was suspended plus they are down an artist and MF has a lot of splashes that need updates
Dr Poro1 votesI wonder how much work is it to make a splash art? I've seen so many good splash arts made by fans for fun that it's hard to believe it takes months to make just one set of splash arts. Why don't they let independants make splash arts and pay them for the result instead of hourly? That way you can be flexible and don't have to worry about not having stuff to do anymore once the current projects are finished. If the artists are busy on something else, I get it. But if it means that other tasks linger around for years, I think it's worth investing a bit more into it.
Spideraxe2 votesRiot actually does often outsource a lot of splashes for the initial creation of them and then polishes in house but, don't quote me on this, I think all splash updates are done in house. I think it takes a few weeks for a single splash to get it to the Riot quality bar they set for modern splashes

Anyway, it's like what Spideraxe said. The artists for the Update team are busy finishing up Eve's splashes. Once they're done with that, they'll be able to tackle the splashes for another champ, maybe 2 before moving on to Swain. Thankfully, Swain doesn't have as much skins as Eve, so it shouldn't take to long to update his
