Do not let THESE current zed buffs go through.

zeds laning phase is already monsterous, no need to buff it even more.

other things should be looked at first, like giving zed a movement speed utility when he ults or after he takes his shadow. or perhaps his shadow reveals stealthed enemies literally any other utility change could go through on zed and it would be better than hard buffing his abilities.

zed does not need a more oppressive lane.

theres already a very select few champions who can actually manage and deal with a zed, you would only be making it even more difficult for most other mid laners to stand a chance against zed in the laning phase.

Zed does not need buffs.

But whatever they're buffing Riven and nerfing Skarner/Rammus/Swain... so presumably they've stopped giving a $@#%&

in all fairness swain needs it. His synergy with DFT is to much. Its the same thing with brand.

It's just W buffs, kinda harmless imo. And his ult buffs don't matter because everyone gets item 3140 item 3157 . He is still no match for my Ahri item 2033 strats.

unfortunately if you have to zhonyas against a zed, hes still going to circle you and wait for it to end, hence why he ulted you in the first place, because he thinks he can take you. the only saving grace is your team / friendship circle, but that prevents the dive in the first place. its actually quite rare for a zed to just walk away expecting death mark to finish the job, usually his extreme excess of damage on his Q and autos alone is enough to get it done.

Shouldn't really stay in lane with 20% hp then. You can also cc him under turret before using zhonya. I mean, this champion has a 43% winrate for a reason lol.

his win rate is lower because of his high skill cap, not because the champion is lacking. and zed has trouble dealing with the current yasuo/tryn/jax gods who horribly outscale him and do have the abilities necessary to contend with him at level 6.

100 AD (long sword or two maybe cutlass even) vs a 900(if that) health AP enemy laner (well say level 6, after first back) and forget auto harassment at this point, because if you look at zed funny hes going to press R.

now as for poke harassment, thats usually limited to just Q, of which you go oom and cant cast any more, but before that happens hes already healed it all thanks to how gross lifesteal is. so you go into Q again, but why? he healed it all, so now you have to 100-0 the assassin to do anything. so you combo him, shame that eats away all of your mana.

zed's Q is hitting for 130 damage (-25~30% if you have armor runes), every 6 seconds he can spam it indefinitely. so over the course of the next 5 minutes i HAVE to dodge up to 50 shurikens. and im allowed to get hit 3x before im in kill range, or maybe hes going for those W + E + Q's as well guaranteeing at least some damage on occasion.

so what we can say for sure, the only way to stay in lane against a zed is to play a sustain champion or a hard counter. or wait for zed to screw up (wow such great champion design, only way to win against it is for him to mess up!)

you dont beat zed in lane, you manage him and come out even if possible and wait for ganks. unless ofc you die under your own tower because pre 10 minutes (upwards of 15 if you're behind on farm dodging all those Q's) you dont have your zhonyas completed.

oh right, you're one of THOSE zed players who just spams anyway and gets kills. watch bjergsen play zed, very different, he always gets his kill when he presses R. and then he roams, completely dominates the lane, takes everything, always has a lead. the only time bjerg loses the lane as zed is when theres a wild blitz/pantheon in his lane.

otherwise hes straight up wrecking 1v1.

Well if that works, then clearly something about the champion's kit is wrong.

Zed did receive some harsh nerfs a few patches back though. Specifically, he can no longer cast his Q - W combo, and his W - Q combo is a lot slower as well.

In its current state, I am afraid that if you still get hit consistently by Zed's W - Q combo, I doubt you are winning the lane against any skill shot champion in League. His Shadow Q now has a .25 - .5 second delay coming out. In addition, his original Q gives away the direction of his shadow Q. Unless he hits you with the slow on WE first, it is extremely easy to dodge the second Q.

Zed has a 44% win rate this patch. Perhaps in season 4 only a few mid laners such as Fizz and LeBlanc can go toe to toe with Zed, but on this patch, literally EVERYONE is beating him in lane. Have you see a Zed this patch? He is so bad I almost felt sorry for the person playing him.

FFS that's not a good argument for the ultra powerful/ultra popular champions. Thresh, Lee and even Yasuo regularly have under 50% win rate, sometimes even low 40s. That does not mean they are in any way weak (See their pick/ban/performance in Worlds).

DarthSpectrum1 votes

Yeah I agree. For some champions with high skill curves, a win rate at sub 50% can still mean that they are OP.

Take Yasuo and Azir for example. They had absolutely abysmal win rates at release (although Azir was bugged for a few patches). However, looking back they were undoubtedly much stronger back then than they are now, and they are able to maintain their win rates despite consecutive nerfs to their kits.

Other champions such as LB and Lee, were also at the top of their game without going over 50%.

Normally I wouldn't judge a champion by their win rates; however, after actually playing against Zed I believe that his current state correlates with his low win rate. He is honestly a shell of his former self.

That said, the other reason his win rate could be so low is that his counters and the champions he is suppose to counter got buffed. It is suicide now for Zed to Death Mark a Graves, Vayne, or Tristana. They can just out damage him while stealing back all their health. In addition, Zed can't even deal with top tier tanks such as Mundo, Tahm, and Rammus atm.
