PBE: Sanguine Blade
First off THANK YOU for fixing the SFX issue with this item. We still need a VFX or a more subtle SFX to inform the player it is active but it no longer is a nuisance.
Second I would like to talk about the conditional on it. For those that don't know Sanguine Blades CURRENT conditional is:
_When one or fewer enemies are visible gain an amount of AS based on level. _
It is interesting in that it makes the enemy team in charge of your AS levels so split pushing they need to send two champs to counter your dueling but then that FORCES more than it enables. If a single champ goes to deal with the split pusher than they can be outdueled thanks to the sheer amount of AS gain it gives. But if two go then they most likely kill the Split pusher but give up something else.
There is no real counter to dealing with it from the enemy side. I think it gives a bit too much to split pushing comps, especially in say a 1-3-1 comp where the enemy would have to answer with 2-1-2 somehow to effectively stop the split push. But the original conditional for the AS is also problematic since it makes countering the split pusher even with two champs difficult:
Gain the AS Boost when there is no allied champs nearby
This meant as long as you are solo you get a CRAP ton of dueling power and is a big solo lane power spike in one item. My solution is to have the AS boost be conditional not on number of Allies or Enemies but to have it be objective focused. Something like:
When within x units away from an enemy tower gain a boost of AS.
This would push the split pushing identity of the item and also remove some of the insane split push snowball strength in its current and previous forms. It means there is still a chance a single champ being sent up can counter the split pusher but also means that with some risk the splitpusher could still out duel the challenger, ie within tower aggro distance. And if no one is sent to counter it than a tower is more quickly gained for the split pusher's team. It also limits the item to split pushing objectives and not say assassin roaming and picks.
What do you guys think?
