Riot I think it's time you take a look into Teemo's kit, it's about time he finally got an update

Something that is more than just a cheese champ used to beat trash players with no clue how to itemize, stomp him early and make him practically useless as they snowball in this early game meta.

#Guerrilla Warfare

  • You don't get a chance to activate it because standing still for 1.5 seconds puts a bright red target on your back for 1 of the dozens of mobile champs that are picked nowadays.
  • The ability to stealth and move in bushes is wasted due to how thin+small they are allowing every AOE in the game to effortlessly damage and reveal his position anyway.
  • Practically every champion has some form of displacement capable of knocking him out of stealth in the bush.

#Blinding Dart

  • Outdated, basically a point and click damage spell for all the good its effect does, reworking it into a skillshot that procs nearsight would be a much healthier and far more useful effect.

#Move Quick

  • Always his last leveled ability due to how little impact it has on his gameplay
  • Most champs will have some form of slow or speedboost of equal/greater value tacked on as an addition to an even more impactful spell.

#Toxic Shot

  • Part of his core identity and really could stay how it is given how simple it is to itemize against

#Noxious Trap

  • Doesn't last long enough to accomplish any meaningful kind of vision or objective control
  • Literally every single game will have some kind of detection that makes it easy to clear out any paths leading to an objective that they'd be set on item 3364 item 3147 Scryer-Blooms
  • More commonly used as a wave-clear spell to be tossed into minion waves than they are placed out of the way as an actual trap.

Try and actually look into an explorer/scout type of character, someone good at providing vision and area control for his team, not this wonky ineffective lane-bully/splitpusher/ambush-assassin? meme you've got going on right now.

TO BE A LITTLE MORE CONSTRUCTIVE; Here's the basic tools/adjustments I think Teemo should gain.

Passive: subtraction: attack speed / addition: gains 150 range for his first basic attack leaving stealth. Q: no changes. W: Subtraction: active speedup. addition: active 250 range roll, followed by an attackspeed bonus scaling with ability level. (still has same out of combat movespeed bonus). E: Subtraction: A bit less impact damage. (To make up for higher dps elsewhere.). R: Subtraction: Lower DOT damage. Addition. Champions hit by traps have all damage from Teemo amplified. (Net result, champions take as much damage, but if Teemo is in proximity to his trap, he can follow up and do more damage.

So more of an adjustment and not a total rework.

Teemo is one of my highest ranking champs... And I feel conflicted on this...

On one hand his kit still feels unique and not at all dated. On the other hand there's no denying that he only has two "moves" and three passives. :P

For the life of me I can't think of how I'd change him w/o destroying his identity. so for now I gotta say, NAY! Leave the little bugger how he is! :P

I got a little rework Idea On teemo. Read the Bolds to get the idea.

passive Same (while stealthed, he will ignore Unit detection)

Q: (Removed Blind and placed it on E) **New Active: Teemo will decrease his passives arm rate by 1 second, and will be granted 1.5 seconds of movement of while in stealthed. ** (While stealthed, he can still use his W and E and R without breaking stealth(But the shroom will come out unstealth and still needs to be armed))

leaving stealth His next auto attack will get Increased auto attack range. (based on rank)

W: Teemo will gain the ability to jump off his own mushrooms detonating them. Distance is based Off Noxious Trap Rank. upon landing, He will gain his movement speed (Like normally). (So you can place the shroom, and immediately use it to detonate it; a reliable way to set off a shroom when you need it to)

(still needs to be more thought out, but this is the jist of it)

E: Passive: Same New passive: Each auto attack applies 'Blinding stack' (MAX 6) For each Blinding stack the target will take bonus Magic DMG from teemo's DoT Dmg. ap scaling increases the stack damage) (Should go without saying, with this new stack; the base damage and scaling would be reduced)

**New active: **Teemo will detonate his 'Blinding stack' (Deals no Dmg) blinding them if they have 3 stacks for 1 second. 2(for 6 stacks) (Blind now works like Quinn's Blind; meaning you can still auto him IF in range)

R: Noxious Trap now applies 'Blinding stack' 1+ for each rank (Decrease the damage) But make it so you can place more and faster.

NOTES And some other things. I would like to make it so, that E and R deals LESS damage. BUT, if they have 6 stacks, your dot damage will deal even greater damage. This is to make him better dealing consistent damage but removing the Bully short trades.

But if you have 6 stacks it would do huge amounts of damage. (same with his E), and with the new Blind. this also give him counterplay as a melee if you do get on him. But still giving teemo ways to esc.)

I really wanted to keep his passive, I thought it was really cool and fun. While NOT that great and really hard to utilize, its the new Q whole purpose was to open a window to outplay. However. HE still needs to stand still with the arm rate being 0.5 seconds tho, so being ganked. Standing still wouldn't be a great Esc tool.

And I thought. It would be cool, if they hit a shroom, You auto Twice. and press Q. And quickly position yourself. to confuse the target about your location, but still giving a huge room for outplaying. And with the stacks, he can blind more than 1+ target AT a time, so if you manage to get a well placed shroom, and get 3 stacks on the enemy team, And hit them with the 5 man, blind giving your team a Blinded engage would be really great.)

So in all, This is an attempt to KEEP teemo's identity, Giving him Room to out play and BE outplayed, but removing the top lane Bully power he has. Making his team power Increased. Increases the damage he deals to tanks, but decreases the damage to squishes.

(also thinking, Maybe Upon getting 6 stacks on a single champion would refresh His Q)

And while I gave him the ability to dash over walls Via W, He cannot do it till only after Lvl 6. The first 6th rank, would be a very short jump, like really thin walls, 11 would be the med walls, max rank would be the large walls. Like a Scout like.

So let me know. what you guys think.

Teemo is a very popular champ, he's a success and I see no reason to rework him.

They can adjust a few things, give him some new tools but a total rework is uncalled for, and quite frankly find it disturbing so many people think he should have a VGU...

He got a mini-update a while ago. His kit is dated, but as a champ his performance is adequate enough that he's not super high on the priority list. There are other champs like that: Brand Annie Anivia Chogath DrMundo Fiddlesticks

Well in order to talk about changing such a popular champ riot would need to consider why he's popular, and why they want to rework him. I like teemo because he's versatile. You can build him on hit, ap, crit/as, or tank. What I don't like is his q and w. His e could use an active effect as well.

The way I rework him is...

Passive, adding the blackout passive from duskblade, removing the stealth mechanic and moving to w.

Q should be a skillshot with a bit more range, but otherwise unchanged.

W still increase movement speed, but also instantly cloaks him if standing still. (remove the invisibility from the passive.)

E same passive, but an active that increases attack speed.

R actually implement a limit to the amount of storms he can place (this will make up for the extra power in the rest of his kit, and encourage him to be more proactive.
