I really miss him. He was so damn fun to play. This new post rework Gangplank is some super serious dark LC$ Cash Money Play$ pretender, who is a competitive pick and quite banned a lot. Damn... Bring back our useless and hilarious pirate!

To be fair, pre-rework GP had something very important; he had the ability to chase.
post rework GP lost: A) a constant slow B) a constant movespeed boost
this gave us a pseudo AD caster with severe blow your load syndrome; once GP blows his barrels and ult, he has 0 potential to secure kills. this leads to a passive farm playstyle which is called "turtling" by the community, and is considered toxic and unfun.
You fix this by giving GP BACK his old grog soaked blade and giving his barrels a semi passive where he can IGNITE his grog soaked blade for a true damage burn by hitting a barrel with a basic attack (but it doesnt slow or poison). This pretty much fixes GPs blow your load syndrome by giving him back a good chunk of his chase potential AND letting him have his current trading tools and burst without breaking him.
