Were we ever given an explicit explanation as to why Talon's E did not receive a channel breaker?

Giving it a channel break would actually suit the ability's name more than a silence would, if it's used at the right time.

Ever since the loss of his silence, Talon's matchups have been significantly less fun to play. They've become far more polarizing. I used to be so strong against Kat, but now she stomps me, mostly because her ult hits me in my ult and there's literally nothing I can do to stop it except outdamage her. How is this fair gameplay? This isn't even a matter of counterpicks; it's a negative byproduct of Talon losing his silence and not gaining a channel breaker.

It just feels like Riot has been really quiet about his lack of a channel breaker compared to most other champions that had their silences removed. It's especially important to Talon because a lot of his matchups don't rely on just keeping the enemy quiet, but rather preventing their retaliation AFTER they begin retaliating with big-ticket spell cooldowns and channels.

They gutted LB and Talon's Silence and left Garen, Cho Gath, Malzahar, Sorakas in.

It doesn't make any sense... if the effect is "too hard to counter play against" then remove it all together. Both champions got minimal QoL buffs after taking a huge nerf.

Leblanc has too much mobility to afford having a silence or anything in place of it.
