good job riot balance team. you guys are finally realizing that sion's w passive is garbage, and that his ult is worthless late game. awesome to see !

What are the odds that they decide to nerf the rest of his kit in the following patches to compensate?

if i were to be completely honest with u, if they were to revert this buff completely, and instead focus on giving him a different passive i would be 2x happier. Because his current passive is so ridiculously bad i dont even want to talk about it anymore i feel like i've talked about it enough in the past.

But anyway, lets say youre right. They'll probably nerf his Q because it seems like they slowly want people to build him exclusively as a tank and rely solely on his ultimate/initiation, and W shielding.

I dont know though, i barely play sion as a tank and probably never will

If they really wanted to kill his damage builds, they would make his W (both damage and shield strength) scale with health and/or bonus resistances. I'm honestly surprised they haven't done that yet. Without %damage reduction, bonus armor/mr scaling, innate sustain, or health scaling deeps, there is no reward for building any champion full tank. Late game they'll just be shredded by late game dps (which vastly outscales defense) while doing nowhere near enough damage to warrant being focused.
