why the overloaded passive?

Death In 4 Acts: Jhin's basic attacks use ammunition and his attack speed cannot be improved except through growth (level). Jhin can attack 4 times before having to Disarm icon reload for 2.5 seconds, and automatically does so after 10 seconds of neither attacking or using an ability.

The final shot is a guaranteed Critical strike icon critical strike that also deals 15 / 20 / 25% of the target's missing health bonus physical damage. Against structures the final shot will Critical strike icon critically strike but deals 44% reduced damage and doesn't apply the bonus physical damage.

Every Moment Matters: Jhin's Critical strike icon critical strikes grant him 10% (+ 4% per 10% bonus attack speed) bonus movement speed for 2 seconds, but his total critical damage is reduced by 25%

Additionally, he gains 2% - 40% (based on level) (+ 4% per 10% critical strike chance) (+ 2.5% per 10% bonus attack speed) AD as bonus attack damage.

....

so i was trying to figure out why jhin was just killing people at some point.. seriously.. 1 to 2 things in a passive.. maybe 3 if its cool enough.. but this mess???

definetly crit.. check adds attack speed .. check gives % health damage.. check additional movement speed.. check.. really riot.. freaken really..

"Let's just ignore every single drawback and downside and only phrase the upsides in a slanted way that makes him seem more OP than he really is so I can justify making a QQ thread."

Okay.

Ok, we can use actual stats just for you.

Fact: Jhin has the 2nd highest play rate in the game at 25%

Fact: Jhin has a 53% win rate

High play rate + high win rate = broken

Fact: Riot has stated they will nerf Jhin in the next 2 patches

HMMM but yeah he's balanced? LMAO if an assassin had these stats people wouldn't stop bitching

Ok here is how you counter Jhin:

Version 1(what I as Akali main do):

Step 1: Pick Akali/Rengar (any good assassin) on top and wait for level 6 Step 2: When you are lvl 6 recall and then go down bot and proceed to oneshot him on sight. Chase flash if he flashes away. Step 3: Spam laugh and mastery and tilt the guy. Step 4: Continue to one shot him every time you see him. Step 5 Get reported. Get banned. Step 6: Smile and say "worf".

Version 2: Pick Xerath and wait for him to ult. Then :

Version 3: Pick Nocturne (get blue trinket) and wait for him to ult. Then: "Darkness"

(Sorry can't find a video but have seen it and it's hilarious! The Jhin was raging about his Alistar not peeling. The fcking alistar was 900 range ahead and had no vision of nocturne or jhin xD )

Version 4: Pick Kalista/Blitz bot lane or Kalista/Leona or Kalista/Braum.

There is literally no fricking way you can lose unless you are abysmally bad.

Version 5: Pick yasuo (or yasuo + zac for extra cruelty)

Version 6: Pick shaco.

There are 101 way to destroy jhin.

The only reason he is good right now is because people play a lot of peel heavy champions and not a lot of assassins these days.

I'm not looking for counters. EVERY CHAMP HAS COUNTERS. Doesn't change the fact that his stats are crazy high because he's strong as fuck. Look at the boards right now. Every post is complaining about Yasuo. How is Jhin better?

Dude Jhin has strong stats because he is so easy to kill. High risk high reward crap. Also half his crap is skillshots.

What? Did you read what you just said?

Jhin is broken right now. How is he high risk? High range on everything except his Autos

Yet if anything jumps on him he goes "pop". And that self root on his ult? Perfect target for any assassin. Same niche as Kog'maw, but opposite way of fighting(single high damage attacks vs a flurry of moderate damaging attacks)

Yeah because that's so easy. Just randomly jump on him. Maybe in bronze/silver/gold this works lmao.

Yeah, no. Jhin has highest ADC win rate for a reason. And a 20% play rate lmao

Uh, don't put words in my mouth. I never said he's balanced. I said that the OP is making him sound more OP than he really is (the double OP definitions, lol).

He actually the only op champion that isnt annoying to play against imo. Once you play him you dont really lose to him in lane unless your mechanics are bad and you cant dodge his W or R. But in lane he cant really trade really well without landing his skills or killing a minion with Q and somehow get it to bounce on you. Since he only has 4 autos and the 4th auto is what he really needs to use on you, but then again his laning isnt terrible but isnt really annoying either. Pretty easy to gank if yougank correctly. His long range is pretty fun mid game but can be dealt with (bard, xerath, any assassins). He has an extreme hard time mid-late game killing tanks cause he only has 4 aa even though he still hits hard, he doesnt kill tanks as fast as other adc (slow attack speed, reload time, and he crit less than normal ADs). He cant utilitize lifesteal efficiently because once again no attackspeed but its not terrible on him because he gets ridiculous AD anyway but still not as good as other ADCS because they can have that constant sustain with fast attackspeed and no reload time. So yeah, you have to be pretty good with him to get a lead in lane or the other bot lane has to be pretty bad to really lose it. He shines in the mid game and falls off late, you have to know how to work around it.

I've never played a game where I saw a Jhin and was like holy shit im going to lose this game, or ever have the need to ban him in my games.

Don't forget cannot gain attack speed or the mandatory reload that stops your attacks in their tracks. It's not like it does not have drawbacks to it .

who needs attack speed when you only need two autos to kill people?

Astôlfo1 votes

No, not really. If he can be 2-shotting people, you did something wrong.
