If you can't climb playing your mains - no matter how "hard" they are to play - you're not meant to climb at all. Stop making excuses and get better instead.

Define "main" however.

A "main" is not a champion I play because I want to play him...a main is a champion I play and CAN play exceedingly well.

If he doesn't have the mechanical skills required to play movement-heavy champions like Yasuo and Lee yet, then switching to a less mechanic-heavy and more reliable champion like Tryn, Garen or Tundle, could indeed help him climb.

No, a main is the champion you like to play the most. Nevermind if you're good with him.

Then you're doing the "maining" thing wrong.

You're talking to someone that has been a 1 trick since late season 2. I think I have a relatively decent idea what "maining" is. If you like winning, obviously you'll main champions that get you easy wins. If you like a champions more than you like winning, you'll main that champion. So in the end, you'll always end up maining the champion you like playing the most, nevermind the reasons **why **you like playing him. So if you play a champion over and over again because you find it so enjoyable, never-fcking-mind if you're good with him, you're maining him in that moment. Also if you put a ton of time into 1 champion, after some time any technical difficulties will just matter less and less as you get better and better at him. So saying that you could climb if you didn't main "hard" champions is a dumb argument.

There is no easy way to climb. You have to want it, and let nothing stop you from it.

Attitude is everything.

Climbing from bronze IS in fact easy.

Learn how to CS and what a turret looks like -> You automtically leave bronze.
