To be fair, Riot dropped me form Silver 3 to Bronze 4 (for some reason) this season, and while I was climbing to Gold I still got demoted from Bronze 2 to Bronze 3 twice because I had so many AFKS and at least 4 games in one week where someone wanted to lose the match just so someone else in the team they hated would also lose... Eventually I got out of the Bronze sewer of idiots, and the progress wasnt exactly a straight shot (on average 65% win rate toward Gold), but there were many MANY less games where I felt like "Oh my team is a pack of emotionally unstable clown morons, time to soak another auto lose."
Now Im not saying there is no difference between Bronze and Challenger... HOWEVER... Games I was ROFL shitstomping my opponents were simply unwinnable because some idiot got enraged at another idiot, and that became their whole world and they would go to their lane and try to fight them for CS, stand under the enemies turret and intent feed, and call out the teams position like "Were at dragon."
Sadly, a lot of people in Bronze arent there to win... theyre there to make other people miserable by keeping them in Bronze too. Now if youre a low Silver player, and you cant hard carry your way out then you may end up playing too many matches with the refuse that inhabits Bronze and not get enough LP to leave when you increase your skill level. Also, its hard to improve much when you only play against/with idiots and trolls.
NOW, Im not saying good people cant climb. They do. Im just saying that on my way to Gold (in solo que, Im now trying to solo my way to Gold in Flex) I couldnt tell much difference between Silver and Bronze except that most of the people in Bronze 2, Bronze 1 were trying to leave Bronze, about half way through Silver I encountered the Gold demotes that just ceased to give a fuck and it was like Bronze all over again...
All that said, if a player didnt play "enough" to even out the "types of people" they play with/against, and got unlucky over the course of like 3-6 games then I legit believe that they COULD be held back by their teams. The problem is if they get tilted by that experience, and give up half way through they may go on more of a losing streak.
I do believe that most people think theyre better than they are, its just unfortunate that some people are held back by their teams in a few games and they lose the will to maintain a game winning mentality.
That guy in Bronze 4 with 1000 games is probably trash though. I felt like most of the people I played against in Bronze 4 were either high or were just cats walking across keyboards.
Good luck with that wall of text bro, and if you read all that, pretend I gave you a cookie for being a cool guy/girl that reads stuff.
