Honor Should Not Hard Reset Each Season

Have it like ranked MMR with a soft reset so it goes back to somewhere between where you were and Honor 2.

I get that some people deserve second chances, but they should have to work towards it and earn it rather than going from Honor 0 then rewarded straight to Honor 2 on season reset, they should go to somewhere between Honor 0 and Honor 2. They'd get some help towards redemption in the new season, but not straight relieved of their past.

On the other side, those who have hit Honor 3-5 would be punished with each reset, Honor 5 the most heavily punished by losing all their levels and brought back to the base level 2. Honor 5 IMO should have some boost so they'd be starting off the highest out of everyone with the new season, somewhere like 3.5. Honor 4 people would be somewhere between H2 and H4, and H3 would be somewhere between H2 and H3 so likely back at H2, but with a slightly higher base

Well, I had to play with a toxic pre-made and a troll consecutively and got tilted in those 2 games. As a result a went to honor0. This was a month ago and I had 8 keys at the time.

It's a been a month, I'm out of keys (which also shows that I've been playing extremely well, getting S- above in most games). I have played a lot of games where I got multiple honor's. But I'm still Honor 0 and from what I have learned you have to CONSISTENTLY show sportsmanship behaviour to RANK UP.

This means even if you play very well and be nice if you get a troll and he reports you (and everyone else) the consistency is gone. This means it's easy to keep your Honor level but hard to rank UP.

What does this mean? A lvl0 player who was victim of troll pre-made has to play without any rewards till the end of season, and even the next season?

And what does this mean for lvl5 Honor players? Since they are at the top of the mountain, even if they get reported for their behaviour their Honor will not drop unless they get a BAN. They don't need to CONSISTENTLY show sportsmanship like the rest trying to rank up.

So in my opinion Honor should either reset at the end of season or the difficulty to get out of low levels should be decreased considering the amount of trolls in the community.

I agree. Even though I got to honor 4 within a month, it's still hard to get honor. Getting to honor 5 is extremely hard to get, even with all the honors you rack up. Maybe something that goes doesn't go as far as resetting the honor in the honor system like you said would be nice. I mean, I see where RIOT is getting at. If they reset the honor, people will try again to get the honor back and try to be as nice as possible to others to obtain honors. But I'm afraid sometimes this naive thinking won't be as effective. The community is still toxic(less toxic, but still.) There may be less bad behavior but this is kinda unfair for people who have reached far in the honor system. Then again there is season exclusive loot for people with high honor... Well I would like to keep my honor cuz it looks nice [slayer-jinx-catface]

i know the feeling all too well i got matched up with the same premade 4, 3 times in a row each time they reported me dropping me down to honor 1, i have not been able to get back to honor 2 since and its been 4 months
