It's getting extremely bloody annoying with recent releases like Taliyah, Xayah and now Zoe.
They got highly intolerable and unbearable personalities with voice lines that I'd rather not hear 24/7
And this new release looks worse than anything we've had so far. So please, Riot, allow us to mute specific champion voices.

Of recent, we only got 
, and soon Zoe. We've had FAR FAR FAR more dark and dreary characters in the game, that I personally appreciate some of the lighter characters who don't make me want to take anti-depressants or go punch someone after I play them.

A lot of this comes from the old league lore though, were the friggin world is constantly on the brink of void invasion, people coming back from the dead, a massive war, and general unrest... these things tend to make people serious...
^ all lighthearted, silly, or generally happy champs. note this doesn't even take sex appeal champs like miss fortune into account which pretty much adds all the females in league. NOT ALL THE OTHER CHAMPS ARE EDGE-LORD

I agree with you that we need a way to mute VO, some of these voice lines are pretty annoying. Tho, to date, nothing comes close to Super Galaxy Rumble.
But, TBF, the game was originally pretty silly and cute (SEE: Corki, Teemo, Heimerdinger, Annie, Tristana, nunu, rammus). People also complained when Riot started adding a bunch of dark, brooding, violent characters. And there have been plenty of dark brooding characters recently (Jihn, Kayne). I think there's room in League for both.
EDIT: Blitz and Mundo are also both very silly and cartoonish. All these are S1 champs.

Elsewise1 votesSome of the things she says are actually sexually explicit, but with a single word changed. This isn't what I play LoL for. Moreover, she has almost no subtlety.
Seriously, her idle stance is made in such a way that if she's facing even vaguely northward, you get a perfect top-down view of her cleavage. Safecracker used to be my favorite skin, and it's the worst offender in this respect.
Other people are into it, fine, it's not for me when it's SO heavy handed.
