Udyr feels like he just needs a tiny cost reduction to his early rank stances in jungle

Udyr's currently sitting at around a 48.75% winrate in jungle, and the current meta doesn't really favor him because of how Phoenix Stance was changed a little while back. With his primary clearing tool now being less useful, and the current jungle environment not being very friendly toward his high mana consumption, he runs into more than a fair share of problems compared to someone like, say, Lee Sin or Trundle.

Even though in my last game I got S- as jungle Udyr, I really felt gimped by his early mana costs when trying to clear camps, even with a blue buff and a item 1039. The main issue is that even if Udyr gets a blue buff, his base mana pool is very small, so the regen bonus is also small. And if your first blue gets poached, you're kinda in deep shit, and will probably have to recall after your first few camps. Not fun.

Maybe his stances could use a SLIGHT decrease in early cost? Or is talking about Udyr buffs reportable?

I've never really had any issues with his mana pool, especially not when I have Blue Buff.

When clearing, just alternate between Phoenix and Turtle the moment Monkey's Agility is about to run out. You should be able to get 3/4 autoattacks in between stance activations.

Blue Buff and Hunter's Talisman will easily provide enough mana to maintain it.

Have you tried item 2032? It comes in handy with Udyr and some other junglers early on and its only 250g more. Usually you get enough gold from your first clear and a successful gank making it really helpful. You can buy your upgraded jungle item and hunters potion. Its a good investment until there are other options that come up if you don't plan on running item 1402.

Yes, and even with that you can sometimes find yourself low on mana because of how many times you need to use your stances in a camp to keep Monkey's Agility going.

But mainly I'm talking about first clears, when you'd have item 1039 item 2031 .
