I feel like I am a bit early.

Can someone tell me when he will drop his Gameplay thoughts today?

It's been a bit sporadic lately, and if memory serves, he let us know that a few weeks/months ago.

But they rarely drop on a Thursday, anyway. Would have been yesterday if we were on normal schedule. But, since Monday was a holiday and the patch hit a day late, Wednesday probably didn't make much sense this week. Might get one tomorrow, if they have anything notable to share.

EDIT: And usually, they drop around 9 AM PT, I think? I would consider any time between 8-10 PT to be within the range of "normal."

To me it seems Fridays and Mondays are most likely. I'm waiting to ask for a comment on state of matchmaker.

They probably wont do anything. If he hasn't said anything about it for the last 5 of them, its likely not even being talked about.

You should ask this. "How can the total number of players in the ranked ladder be so much lower than seasons 6-7(for example) but the queue times haven't increased by the equivalent amount? Doesn't this promote more unfair matches?"

And then watch them ignore it like none's business.

Well if the loss of players proportionately affected all roles, then so long as there is still a big ass amount of players that play league of legends, the "equivalent" (not the righht word you were looking for I'd imagine) amount of increase in the queue times would be so small that it would have simply evaded your detection.

Would also need for the player loss to be distributed across ranks equally. And we would see a good increase in the "dead hours" queue times like monday-friday 05:00-10:00

And there is of course the factor that smurfs exist, which there is no way to keep a track of.

Yeah sorry if I am using the wrong words, the term that means "analogy" evades me. I'll remember in my dream today but will be too late xD

Not really.

Because skill of the players are determined by where they fell and fall.

So even though ranked dropped by 30% this season. The average Iron 4 to Plat 3 player wouldn't notice anything.

Plat 2 - Challenger would feel stuff for sure. But thats mostly in part to the fact that Positional Match Making fell flat on its face.
