@Riot Why revert the Zed ult changes?
I'd like some context as to why you guys reverted the change to his ult. It seemed like a healthy change in power. It would force zed players to commit while nerfing his ability to ult in and run away.

because he's not OP to begin with
He's kept intentionally weak right now to allow for his high ceiling
He retains nigh-50% win ratio while being picked in 1/3rd of games he is not banned in.
He is many things but "weak" isn't one of them.
This meme that high playrate champs should have low win rates needs to die.
I suck at league, but I know science and statistics and it doesn't work like that.
not a meme, the moment that both are true is the moment that you should be realizing that the champion is too easy for how much power they can output, and the best way to counteract it is straight nerfs.

It's not science and stats, it's common sense.
A champ with a high pickrate is played a lot by a lot of people while a champ with a low pick rate is played a lot by dedicated mains.
That is only correct if you are talking about numbers, but the only thing that matters is percentages. Here is a post I made a while back when people were complaining about the Sol Nerfs. Someone was complaining about how Sol was getting nerfed and Zed wasn't, they said something along the lines of "Sol's winrate is only high because he is only played by dedicated mains." When in reality his playerbase was very inexperienced compared to Zeds, even when Zed had about 9% more on his playerbase.
Player base average games played Zed: 55 Sol: 21
Player base Experience distribution
Zed Number of games 1-5: 15% 5-15: 19% 15-50: 32% 50-125: 20% 125+: 11%
Sol Number of games 1-5: 39% 5-15: 17% 15-50: 22% 50-125: 10% 125+: 3%

Also there is this http://champion.gg/statistics/#?roleSort=&sortBy=general.experience&order=descend Riven has the 4th most dedicated playerbase while maintaining a 7% playrate, and Thresh has the 11th most dedicated playerbase while maintaining a 25% playrate, meanwhile Galio has one of the least dedicated playerbases placing at 185th, with a .18% playrate, and Karma at 183rd with a .15% playrate
My god, heimerdinger is at 1st and 3rd
Completely spot on, this board is full of idiots.
Just because a champion has a high play rate, does not mean it is noobs playing that champion.

Thresh and lee are like that high play rate and low play rate
The average player who plays Zed has 67 games on him, I think a 50% win rate is perfectly fine. Getting picked so often doesn't matter if the players who are picking him are already somewhat experienced.
The average player who plays Heimerdinger has 211 games on him, he's sitting at a 48.71% winrate.
K coo

He might not be numerically OP, but he is incredibly frustrating to play against, as he's got one of the safest methods of assassination in the game that doesn't really put him in harms way until you're about to die. He can nearly always destroy his target in the tiny span of time it takes his ult to trigger, while his target usually cannot kill him that fast once he appears.
Well where was all the complaints before pre-season 6 when he had the exact same kit hm? Oh thats right people just circle jerk through random champions during the year to hate, last 2 years it was Lee Sin.
The problem was that this season Zed gets 2 fucking ults because of
. If his Ult proc doesnt kill you the damn item passive proc will. Plus with QSS and Zhonya nerfs Zed's little counter play is therefor eliminated so his power is increased.

For as long as I've been on the boards (since just before that Shurima event that launched Azir and gutted Cassiopeia, which was about 2 years ago), there have always been threads complaining about Zed. Sure, Lee Sin was the poster problem child because of his dominance in the jungle, but Zed was always being complained about. He may have taken backseat to other champs, but the fact that there has always remained a vocal distaste for him shows that he's always been an issue and will always remain an issue until they give him meaningful corrections to pull him in line with mana users.
Ok, I get that actually this is a legitimate complaint.
People want Zed's power to be distributed differently rather than straight nerfs.
They're probably not the exact changes they want done to him, but I believe they said they're in the right direction. Changes are pulled from the PBE quite often and those same champions end up with different changes on the following patch. Riot is aware Zed is a balance issue, as seen in some other threads.
Essentially, they want to see how big an impact the Q change has first due to how big an impact any shift in its power has on Zed's kit. They still have the R change on tap to go if needed.
it s so annoying to play against zed if you re adc espcesially you have no chance to kill him he just oneshots you also there no counterplay when qss is not working now i have to build ap sivir and ap ashe ???
One champion that more annoying then a Zed.
