What is this???

I know, I know - Sunfire can be quite oppressive ~~and nnone want's to just drop dead because of near 6 Sunfire Twitch.. oh wait... ~~

...but for real... an Item that's mostly build on pretty large Champions with a DMG-Aura that barely surpasses the Champions-Hitbox looks and feels kinda pathetic! If I have to be carefull to get all raptors into the AoE that feels just bad!

And in Teamfights? Ok, you'll get the target you jump one (if you can jump) into the Aura - but besides that? Isn't the whole point of an AURA to be stronger in Teamfights???

Riot has clearly shown they're not interested in Auras in any way - they don't like them and either don't want/or are unable to balance them! But this just pathetic! If you hate it that much get rid of the Champion DMG completely and give us a nice cheap JGL/CS tool instead - but this way I feel like paying alot of Gold for nothing.

Note: I don't even consider that Item bad! It's strong and the Waveclear is good! But it just looks and feels so bad when hovering over the Range! x'D


Fix Suggestion:

Make Sunfires Range (300) count from the Champions edge instead from their center - Increasing the synergy with large Champs.

Sunfire is designed to give tanks better waveclear, which it does.

It is NOT designed to be a big teamfight DPS item. That would be stupid

They gutted Sunfire cape. You should never even be building it for teamfights, you should be building it if you're a tank that can't wave clear with your abilities alone. You know, because there are so many of those :^)

I really like the idea of range scaling with champ size.

I have to agree with these changes. There were just too many reported cases of Sunfire Capes accidentally get a tick off on helpless assassins, ADCs, supports, mages, and ranged minions. Now Sunfire can fit it's intended role, as the deciding factor in a 9 minute 1v1 battle between Sion and Naut in the river.

At this point, Sunfire should just be part of the recipe to build a Titanic Hydra, and Titanic Hydra should be renamed to 'Better Than Sunfire'.

They should do something similar to the Singed Q tick change so it feels more responsive. It would feel a lot less awkward waiting for it to kick in, that's for sure.

Before you could get the ranged and melee minions all in the aura if you stood in the middle. Thats quite hard to do now. Which means it takes twice as long now. And the minion damage increase doesn't help enough.

Ultimately, the item got nerfed into the ground. Not functioning as waveclear or aoe teamfight dmg.

I just wish it were stackable with cinderhulk... is it? I seriously don't know.

I see we used a beefed up ChoGath in the above picture to help your point but what would it look like with a Teemo in the picture?

I'm pretty sure sunfire already does what you want it to do. Please take a screenshot of the range with cho at different sizes if you think otherwise.
