Kayn... (let's ignore his cool design for a moment) WHY AGAIN a knockup???

Dear Riot, if you hate counterbuilding aka Tenacity (in this case) THAT MUCH,.. why not get rid of it all together... Is there any design aspect I missed that encourages a knockup over ANY other form of CC on this Champion besides "muh.. easier to balance"? (... I guess you could argue that you've enough trouble as it stands to counter his DMG with Armor and his Heal with GWs?.. but.. is that really it?)

Could we go back to a point where Knockups are only given to Spells and Champs it makes sense on? Like a Tornado? Or an Unstoppable Force? I consider this CC overused beyond believe right now.

Or do you guys like it?

Clearly Yasuo is being banned purely because we don't have enough abilities that allow him to use his ult. If more champs could help him transition into Asspounding power, then he'd be more welcomed by the playerbase. Therefore, more knock-ups!

About a quarter of the champs have knockup in their kit, and that it's a pretty strong CC, maybe it's a bit overused.

Idk. Maybe not.

Being unable to reduce knock up duration is actually what is supposed to motivate you do dodge the abilities that do knock you up. Unlike stuns or roots which can be reduced by tenacity (though tenacity is shit).

To get the same motivation from roots or stuns, you need to make them last very long (like Morg Q) which is frustrating.

Plus when it comes to chain CC, you're not worried about the stun because of the stun, you're worried about being unable to avoid everything else in that timeframe because of the stun.

This is why Riot has been removing reliable CC (though Sejuani's E exists like that for some reason) slowly and adding more telegraphed hard CC abilities or ones that require certain build up.

"But things like Alistar's combo still exist!"

Well imo Alistar's combo is dumb but it's basically the only thing that lets him see play imo.

I feel like it's fine. Instead of just smacking them with a scythe, he's ripping the ground from under them up, which seems a lot more deadly (at least from the animation anyway)
