An iron player in silver games????

Around two days ago, I had an iron player in high silver games. They weren't duo with anyone (literally everyone started flaming the poor guy) and nor were they smurfing. The dude took comet on Cait, ffs, and basically played at mêlée range.

Now, I get its silver so no one gives a shit, but I still think this is a bit odd. Do you guys think it's a matchmaker glitch or something?

The new ranked system changes have caused some issues with matching making. That will be fixed by the time the season starts.

Just curious does that mean those who lost MMR and such due to the current system will be put back? The problem seems to have shifted the ranks by a lot, meaning losing a game or two can cost you a demotion and more LP loss from losing than you gain from winning. I think Rank should of had a MMR reset when the two new tiers were added.

While Comet\Scorch Cait -IS- Hilarious, it really shouldn't be in a ranked game, he likely didn't even know.

It's unfortunate, but the MMR system is utterly fucked off atm.

match making does not exist right now. i get matched with and against plats almost every game in iron-bronze so far ...very lame experience . i wish i had any other game to play while this is happening.

play master yi or jax and u can carry iron, if you know how to end games, like splitpush, etc.

It is currently about a month or two into ranked and i am getting iron 2 players in my silver games. In fact i lost a game because my entire team was bronze 3 and bellow while the enemy team was silver 4 and up one was even silver 2

ive been playing against silver when i was iron 4, but im iron 2 right now and still playing against silver :v

I have to hope it is a glitch... I just came back to this game after taking a break due to a unfair ban. But I am in silver 4.. I was silver 5 high LP. But since coming back... I have been getting iron 1 / bronze 4 and 3... Like what the heck.

I am vsing people in silver 3 or 2 with iron 1 and iron 4 players!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOW I GOT DEMOTED TO B1.. THANK YOU RIOT!! I love it when you completely frag up the matching system and make me have iron players!
