have u ever considered that in the lcs/lck they want their tanks and bruisers to be ahead? so that they can build up faster, snowball their lane faster, and apply pressure harder? or that maybe just maybe a large majority of top laners in the lcs are the largest and hardest source of teamfight engage? (like gnar, kennen, illaoi, maokai)
sure top lane can go one way or the other, but the rest of the lanes have to execute as well not to mention they rely on hard engage that 9 times out of 10 top lane provides
and with double relic bot lane in almost every game now on top of how safe they already play, not a lot usually happens down there.
But that is the same thing that happens in solo q games. The tanks/bruiser gets ahead and snowballs the game (much harder than any other lane can) Its no coincidence that 8/9 games on me had the winning top lane. You can literally go to those games and see exactly what im talking about. That first day of the lcs is exactly how my solo q games go.
There was a game in the lcs. Where the mid jungler and top were ahead on the winning team. The jungler and mid got caught out. It was a 3v5 and the top lane was ahead... and due to global gold the bot lanes were even. And because the top lane champ was ahead they won the 3v5. Thats exactly what happened to me last game. the darius charged in 1v5 and was just carrying every team fight.
