Shaco is an average champion.

50% winrate. 5.6% pick rate. Less than a 1% ban rate. (obviously not that frustrating to play against when you compare him to the truly frustrating champions) ie nidalee with 70% banrate and onlly a 44% winrate.

So don't you guys have you know more pressing issues to deal with? Like making usless champions playable (instead of adding to that list?) And nerfiing the more broken champs?

There is no reason to make another useless champion. His pick rate, ban rate, win rate all shot that. Its not like he is dominating the game.

And probably the most important thing is. There really weren't any threads about him on the forums stating how disgusting broken or obnoxious this champion was.

Shaco's pick/ban rate doesn't mean he isn't a troublesome champion... or in need of changes. By that same logic, Aatrox doesn't need changes (which he so does)

Aatrox has a .48% pick rate. that alone shows he's in need of changes. Not the same logic.

Shaco's winrate with his pickrate may look like he was a little strong or annoying (troublesome), but if you happen to glance at the statistic of the amount of games his playerbase has on him on average, it will all make sense: 154.78.

Most players who are achieving a decent winrate with shaco know the champion inside and out.

It is. They're just different numbers. 5% is not a high pick rate in any respect. or even mediocre.

EDIT: It was just an example anyway. Some champions that a lot of people say need changes with a higher pick rate than Shaco: Yasuo Katarina (oh wait she's pretty much identicle to Shaco) Nasus

The average playrate of a champion in this game is 4.08%. anything above that is technically above average. It's also means he's picked ~12 times for every 1 time aatrox is picked.

Anyway, it's a combination of things that make people say a champ needs changes.

Yasuo? It's partly because of his cheesy skirmisher defense ability (w/passive), but also because he's played so much. People are just tired of seeing him.

Katarina? Resets on all abilities is kind of dumb and frustrating to play against.

Nasus? He needed QoL changes (and got them with the changes to his R). He was just a really shitty juggernaut that was outclassed by all the other ones.

Katarina's problems are much, much different than shaco's. Shaco had an abusive early and a shitty late game. Now he has a mediocre early game and a shitty late game. Nothing was fixed.

Not sure about katarina's problems now. Maybe she'll be more complex and less frustrating to play against?

Nasus is fine.

Yasuo could use a slight nerf imo, but he doesn't NEED huge changes.

"the average playrate of a champion"

There are outliers in there. Severe outliers I'd imagine.

So?

So?

They are outliers for a reason, if you need explanation for why outliers are significant, then just dont use statistics in the first place.

It's not relevant to my point in any way.

Yeah, retarded as this post.

People don't constantly whine about Shaco because hardly anyone takes the time to actually learn him.

The large majority of those that play him are objectively terrible at him; they rely on snowballing insanely hard early to even be counted as more than a cannon minion in usefulness.

From those that have actually mastered him, he's a nightmare to face.

I REALLY want to know what the design team had in mind when they decided to just kill shaco for no fucking reason.

Like they said they'd fix his late game and tone down his early.

WHAT FUCKING PART OF GUTTING HIM COMPLETELY FIXES ANY OF HIS FUCKING ISSUES?? How is nerfing his damage across the board fixing his late game?

I know not everyone religiously follows the red tracker but Riot has said that they're waiting to see where his balance is on the live before adjusting his numbers.

I'd say he is going to be weak on release but I'm reluctantly hopeful that he won't be Kalista 'ed by the time season 7 gets here.

i dont think shaco needs nerfs. he just needs to be more useful to his team and reducing his early game stupidity in return
