PSA: You have a team. Stop gold-starving them and let them ASSIST!

After taking a reasonable amount of time to evaluate why there can be a staggering amount of disparity in gold which furthers snowballing beyond any sense of even HOPING to shut a key person or two, I have the most to say on one topic I'd prefer to go over more so than other factors: people trying to force fights early, rush kills, and do everything in their power to kill an enemy BEFORE teammates arrive.

It is infuriating to not only have someone think they can do anything (up until they get caught out or make stupid dives, in which case expect much flaming and blaming) but to also know, beyond any shadow of a doubt that the team would have done SO MUCH towards the goal of winning....had people just waited.

While this is usually more relevant to the support role (they need -assist- gold more than any other person), anyone can benefit if people would learn how to wait anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds. Longer than that I hold no grudge against those wanting to just make do if they are confident they can kill enemies so they can direct their attention to other objectives, time is crucial in this game, but not to the point where waiting a few seconds here and there are absolute sins. Safety in numbers and extra tools to complete a goal should never be turned down.

Too many times I will see teammates trying to set up a gank on, let's say bot lane, and it's a pretty iffy situation. Not necessarily, "fight could go either way" but more so in the "they could easily walk away and now every other enemy knows so-and-so is down bot so they know they can get away with shenanigans in other parts of the map".

I'll ping and even say in chat that I'll be right there. I'm heading down.....I get about 1/2 or 3/4 of the way there, THEN my teammates purposely blow every single cooldown they have, MAYBE get one person, and I can't do anything to help the situation. I'll then proceed to lose map pressure from where I came from, possibly losing a turret in the process if someone shows up to help whoever I previously hard-pushed against so that I could leave. I don't care about KDA as long as we are winning and they are losing! I don't have an ego to feed. I just want to climb and if assist gold will help me achieve that so that can secure objectives, then I want in on that!

These situations are calculated decisions and when I consistently result in net losses because of teammates that decide to go RAMBO and can't even guarantee something, we're losing gold efficiency as a team.

If you were going to go nuts, regardless of whether I was coming or not SAY SOMETHING. PING SOMETHING. TELL ME TO STAY PUT. SOMETHING-SOMETHING-SOMETHING DARK SIDE. SOME. THING. I give more than enough fair time warning so it's only common courtesy to do something for me and anyone else who wants to secure a win.

The worst of these sorts of situations is when it is actually a time where a gank can go all kinds of wrong and I just so happen to be support and had to back for mana/health, wards, whatever. I'll be almost at outer turret, a gank ensues when the lane is frozen in favour of the enemy, no sight along river and then counter-gank happens, double kill to enemy adc, and I get something more or less along the lines of this:

/all gg fail supp, report [X]

Then they berate me after repeating this cycle numerous times and then, the best part? You'll love this, it's hilarious: they have NO idea why I'm not at anywhere from 4 to 6 item tank build and expect me to engage (of course of which no one will follow-up on, half the time I swear they just want to see me die and feign ignorance) when I'm several levels lower than everyone else, including enemy support.

It's bullshit like this that makes me want to level a smurf account to be put with people who at least understand the principle of patience and basic mathematics and work up from there. Dynamic queue is a godsend...if you have friends and co-ordination (preferably voice-chat) to back it up. If you don't, it may as well be solo-queue. Sadly, I can't find any consistency in those I group with.

TL;DR: Stop sabotaging your team by denying them assists. What's so hard about that?
