lets look at enchanters (support mains welcome)
how can we better diversify them from each other and possibly unshackle them from a no-gold role in bottom lane
if you play enchanters them comment; if your favorite gets reworked..
- what do you think is core in terms of identity (what abilities should stay exactly as they are, what you might want to change)
- what is unique to your champion and separates them from a class that is very same-y
- how can we add more interaction and depth to them without radical changes (imo there has never been a radical overhaul that is successful so I want this avoided)
- what would you be fine with losing and what would you trade it for?
- what play style do you want them to work best with?
- would you consider the opportunity to solo lane important in a rework?
personally i think enchanters should be reworked around encouraging, enabling or empowering different playstyles. currently they are best played in the back line passively boosting a marksmen and peeling; I'd like this to be the focal point of change in a support rework
for example, janna as the defensive powerhouse to enable strong siege and poke comps, and less reliant on ADCs being strong for her to succeed (or maybe this stays as part of her niche and other supports change away from that) with more effort to peel but higher rewards for doing well; most changes should be focused on giving her more complex play making and making her bare minimum less effective, but she has a great foundation that just needs built on
other classical support mains share your thoughts, ty
the only front line enchanter that i know he can be used as a counter engage or a great follow up for whoever he links onto and i'm pretty sure he won't get reworked for a while
