You can do really well in lane, 4/0 or something, but then if your mid, jg, etc feeds it turns into hell. Like what am i even supposed to do then? Its too late for me to do anything as the damage is already done. Its just a painful experience to play ADC at low ELO as you have almost no influence in other lanes early game.
OceanicEyes2 votesIf you can, duo with a player you trust in another lane /jungle. Helps you get some hopefully reliable performance across the map. At least I find that can help out.

You said it yourself. In lower elos, people dont value protection of AD carries. People play Yasuo and Riven and try to win lane and oneshot everyone and everything.
AD carries are ranged and don't do too well vs. snowball champions since they always are underleveled and reliant on protection and not getting focused. ADC is basically not worth playing in lower elos
