"Hey, how do you counter the enemy jungler coming in with true sight because they passed a ward?"
"You need to place your ward WAY far out. Hope you don't msis out on any experience bro."
"Oh... OK. Why?"
"Because you're Twitch."
"Well what do I do about tri-bush?"
"Ward red buff instead."
"What?"
"Yes."
Are you red side bot lane? Ward tri-bush. If you can't escape a gank that a ward picked up from tri-bush you've got zero map awareness and deserve to die to the gank. If they come via river they don't proc the true sight and you can use your stealth.
Are you blue side bot lane? Just like every ADC except possible Tristana and Corki, you're better off warding in front of the dragon pit or slightly up towards blue buff. Not all the way, just a bit. If they come in that way again, you should escape no problem without your stealth (unless you have no map awareness). If they come through your jungle via tri-bush, they didn't proc true-sight and you can use stealth.
It just sounds like you grew dependent on an escape that worked because players at your elo didn't use oracles / pinks back in previous seasons.
It basically does. It shows you exactly where they are, and stealth only lasts for a few seconds regardless.
Can I auto attack you or use targeted abilities on you when red trinket shows me where you are? No? Then it doesn't. Pretty simple. You can dodge skillshots. You have 4/5/6/7/8 seconds of stealth (that's not only a few seconds, that's a REALLY long time) which is more than enough to get to a turret or tanky allies that can peel for you. That whole time if I had a pink ward in my inventory I could have killed you twice or three times over with autos.
You act as though it's safe to do that in the late-game.
How do I smite it? I'm ADC.
I could drop a ward, but any smart jungle takes chickens into the bush so their true sight doesn't pop on said ward at the camp.
It is safe to do that when you know where the enemy team is and have allies with you.
I said your jungler could smite it.
Ward a bit closer to the bush then... the proc radius is pretty large...
I don't know why you're telling me this, I'm Diamond. I know who has high winrates in my ELO. That said, he's really not as strong as you think he is. You can't base a champion's power level based upon their win percentage. That's just silly.
It's one metric.
There's also the fact that he has the highest average kills of all ADCs.
Or that he's got a 50%+ win rate even on inexperienced players.
Or the whole pink ward argument that I've been making.
I'll reiterate that I'm not saying he's OP or needs nerfs. Just that he's in a great position right now, so asking for buffs is kind of pointless.
Again, Twitch isn't as strong as you think he is, and Jinx was hella strong for quite awhile. Caitlyn is also fairly potent. J4 just got huge buffs, Hecarim is great, and Gnar is still a top lane's worst nightmare. I've no idea what you're talking about.
Jinx WAS really strong. Then she got nerfed. Then nerfed again. Then the marksmen update happened, and instead of waiting a patch or two to see how strong she was after those changes they simultaneously nerfed her yet again. People with 50-125 games on her have nearly a 3% lower win rate than people with 5-15 games on Twitch. Was she strong, or were people who played her just good with her? As you said, win rate alone is a silly way to measure power, and there were few other metrics that said she needed those nerfs.
Caitlyn has been bottom 5 ADC all season. In a playmaking ADC meta, the ADC who does nothing but auto from long range is obviously going to be in a weak spot. Her traps are interesting and good use can be made of them, but many other ADCs just bring so much more to the table. The biggest problem she has though, which she shares with Draven, is that she's supposed to be a premier lane bully and gets out-laned by marksmen who scale so much harder because of Thunderlords and various other reasons.
"J4 just got huge buffs" - yes, finally he received buffs that he's needed for so long. Hence why I said 5 patches (preseason and 6.1-6.4) as the non-ADCs I've listed all finally received buffs. I wouldn't call them huge by any means though. AOE damage on his ultimate could be huge, but that remains to be seen (anyone worth their salt won't let him land it on 2+ enemies, the range is pretty small and NEEDS to be centered on one enemy unlike Malphite's which can go between enemies). The mana buff on his ult is nice. The CD buff on his shield might sound nice, but his mana problems don't exactly let him use W the way it is, so reducing the cooldown isn't going to help too much. Of all those buffs, there was 1 more on the PBE - a 5 mana cost reduction to his Q. When I read them, that was the only one I hoped they would keep.
"Hecarim is great" - have you been under a rock these last 8+ patches? Hecarim is literally the second worst jungler and third worst top laner at the moment by win rate. His play rate top has dropped to 0.5% (from what was probably over 10%) and jungle slightly over 1%. He's received an appalling number of direct and indirect nerfs, long beyond what was necessary - all while itemization and mastery changes are strongly out of his favor. He basically got Sejuani'd. He was buffed too hard (while Hecarim mains explained that he didn't need those buffs) to the point that pros played him, made him super popular, and then no one wanted to see him again so he was put in the gutter. It's Riot's cycle. See also why J4 and Gnar were put down so low. Jinx likely won't receive her due compensation for ages for the same reason (or, ever, because her playerbase is so experienced with her that she maintains over a 50% win rate despite being quite weak right now).
"Gnar is still top lane's worst nightmare." Quote from Riot patch noets 6.5: "Gnar's underperforming in the top lane, specifically in the early stages of the lane...What's actually worrying is that Gnar's underperforming when the majority of his opposing top laners are the very tanks he's intended to bully."
Pretty sure I'm going to trust Riot on this one. Gnar's supposed to be really strong in this meta and he's been far below average. A few really favorable matchups (almost exclusively against champions that weren't made for top lane, or top laners that have big problems of their own) don't mean he's a whole lane's nightmare. When Singed has a 55% win rate against Gnar, he's clearly in an awful spot. That 3AD buff might help him a bit, but I doubt it will be enough.
