Can Katarina's Shunpo tooltip be changed to something more intuitive please?

Currently, it is "Picking up a Dagger will reduce Shunpo's cooldown by 78%/84%/90%/96%." With the level scaling at levels 1, 6, 11, and 16.

It would be far more helpful if it simply said like, "Picking up a Dagger will reduce Shunpo's cooldown to X.XX seconds" "Picking up a Dagger will reduce Shunpo's cooldown by X.XX seconds" (Correction suggested by Penns, thank you!)

The CDR % amount wouldn't change, it'd just be actually more useful to see a number instead of trying to calculate a percentage of whatever Shunpo's current normal CD is, which is usually some X.XX format of a second, instead of being a nice round number.

You cant display "to x seconds" because its always different. But you could display "reduces Shunpo's cooldown **by ** [x seconds]" since that is always the same number until you level up or get more cdr.

Ah oops. Yeah, thank you for the correction!

I feel as though the tooltip should stay the way it is. The % mark gives you a general idea for how long you'll have to wait for your shunpo to come back up. The specific numbers don't really matter. The % tells me either "My shunpo will come up almost instantly after picking up a dagger" or "My shunpo will take a second or two to come up after picking up a dagger," much faster than a specific number, which is what matters the most.

Having the tooltip read specific numbers takes more time to figure out than % numbers. Let's say my shunpo is on an 8.1 second cooldown [level 3 shunpo 10% cdr] and I'm at level 11 [90% reduction on dagger pickup]. With these numbers the tooltip, with your reccomendation, would say "Picking up a dagger will reduce shunpo's cooldown by 7.3 seconds".

At this point I've realized I've put too much time into this and there was really no point because there is such a little difference LOL..

but anyways; 8.1 - 7.3 is what you would have to do in your head, but in reality you don't need the specific number to plan out your assassination. Just a general % number works slightly better.

A specific number will tell you exactly how long you have to wait before jumping to it to have it instantly back up though.

But I'm too lazy to calculate that :3

You can also wait until the time visible as Shunpo's CD reaches that same number that would be in the tooltip.

no noob, learn the skills that reading the tooltips require, and maybe you will git gud

there's a reaosn she's difficulty 8, and it's not just because of her in game difficulty. if you can't understand the tooltips, then you haven't reeached the skillfloor that katarina requires

If I understand correctly, it reduces the remaining cooldown of the ability, not the base cd. So the actual amount in seconds would change based on when during the cd you picked up a dagger, limiting the value of displaying it on the tool tip (it would actually probably be pretty misleading).

I believe it works like Gnar's Q, as in it reduces the cooldown of it when thrown, not the current one. Which means, it cannot display such statistic as it will be different every time.

So just have the X.XX value be a 'white number' (the color used for dynamic values) and have it adjust whenever Katarina gains or loses CDR and per levels 1/6/11/16?

No, it reduces the current cooldown. It's based on the cooldown when you pick up the dagger, not the total cooldown.

If you shunpo to a dagger and the cooldown would normally be 10 seconds, you take off 90% or whatever of 10 seconds. If you shunpo, then wait for 5 seconds to pick up the dagger, you take off 90% of the remaining 5 seconds.

It isn't just some flat number.

it does this same thing for GP barrel decay. except at levels 1 7 and 13
