Kassadin's Q only interrupts channels now. Singed's Q is not a channel.

then why does it stop aurelion w and anivia r

Astôlfo2 votes

Because Aurelion's W and Anivia's R are counted as channels?

then why isnt singed's q?

it's inconsistent

facepalm

I just told you. Singed's Q isn't a channel. Aurelion's W and Anivia's R are treated as channels.

no

i asked why singed's q isn't counted as a channel

did you even read?

Astôlfo1 votes

Why are you asking me that? Ask the Riot designers.

Singed's Q is a toggle, not a channel. Its the same as Cho's E or Ashe's old Q in that regard.

resumed1 votes

aurelions is also a toggle though

WoonStruck1 votes

No, its more like Anivia's ult.

Singed's trail doesn't get canceled when he gets stunned. IIRC, Sol's passive and W get shut off when he's hit by CC. Toggles cannot be forcibly shut off.

ive only received two useful peices of information in this thread and this is one of them

Passive:

Ability-inhibiting crowd control disables Center of the Universe.

W:

Due to being an extension of his innate, crowd control that inhibits the use of abilities will also disable Celestial Expansion and put it on cooldown.

That is due to the nature of his passive. It has nothing to do with the toggle on W.

So... does that mean Viktor 's ultimate would also stop Sol's W? That's a really wonky reaction if it does.

dang

singed would be able to be buffed if his q behaved the same way

Eedat1 votes

Kassadin's Q has had the silence removed for a very long time....

resumed1 votes

i implore you to direct me to where i said it silences

Eedat1 votes

Why else would it interrupt Singed's Q then? Because his Q isnt a channel.

resumed1 votes

but why is it not

I guess since Singed Q is cast on/off and he loses mana every seconds its still on.

where as other, aulian channeling just pays for the mana on cast, and has to be near it

Anivia R she gets to move around and cast it near here, for balance its her ultimate and can be interrupted on a stun.

so Singed since it comes from his Pack/Bottle he gets to keep it regardless of silence or stun. but he loses mana just the same.

its a thematic mechanic, they are not meant to be the same, this makes him unique.

aurelion pays for the mana on cast and then an additional mana cost per second increasing per level
