Better Question: Is there supposed to be a "King of Toplane"?

Because, if there is one champion for a position, who trumps all others, thats not a good thing...because all that results in is: Wither that champ is firstpicked or banned.

Renekton used to be called like that because he had no negative match up and could win 90% of the time top from lvl 1 to 7

i'm all along with you, but he is trash late game so there are 0 reasons to play him. want wreck someone? it's harder then before if you don't kill them or have 50 cs more than them (which is hard now) you lost all the purpose to play this champion.

Ok,first of all everyone can survive renekton by just don't fighting him,which will deny you all gold and half of the exp. No,going all in trades; Garen will lose. Darius after rework TBA Irelia skill matchup. Zac yet to see someone play him top or anywhere except me. Riven typical riven main doesn't lose to any matchup. Chogath except this(see what I did there?) Trundle Ayy lmao the king of passive play style and when aggressive he always turns the fight into his favor

I'm not a fan of champions designed to auto win their lane as the goal in mind. I'd prefer if champs like renekton and pantheon had the tools to do well in lane without being quite so impossible to deal with when they are strong in the meta. Point and click stun, infinite harass, waveclear and sustain, etc. I'd rather they have less reliable early tools and have a stronger mid and lategame presence then to have all their power budget tied up in being super annoying in the first few levels.

forgive me if i meant to give him an auto win lane treatement, i wasn't and you're right but riot needs to give him tools to do it.

I can definitely see your point, I had the same issue, I think Riot was hoping Juggernaut items would help him out, so I'd definitely try some of those items out. But I definitely think he could use some QOL buffs to fit into the new top and that got changed with all the Juggernaut stuff.
