I would love an item for non AD types that built from the QSS. I Think on whole Riot should work towards building items sets that ad diversity in what to pick for particular champs, maps, and scenarios. The QSS only builds into one thing on summoners rift. The build would be equally restrictive if it you just replace the sword with Large rod. I don't care what you call it. Take away DFG, Give me SAR'ZIN SHASHIMONO. Off the top of my head: AP, quicksilver, and resist. If not the ap give me cooldown and work in Forbidden Idol and add 750 gold to finish.

Because every AP should be forced to go Zhonya which takes ages more to grind while facing champs like you know, Zed.

Zhonya's is strong against almost everyone. QSS w/ AP would be stupid imo because it would make a lot of AP vs AP matchups stupid imo. This would basically force both of them to get this item and now both mages will have a QSS, giving MORE survivability without any trade off to less dmg(like how it is currently). In most cases, most mages just need to barf out their spell rotation before they die and they can usually do that if they don't get caught. IF you're against a suppress, QSS is your friend, but outside of that, you should honestly be taking cleanse if CC is THAT big of an issue for you.

You have Zhonya's which works better against everyone you should really care about using it on except maybe Malzahar.

That don't stop WW, but i see your point. It also doesn't give you escape-ability. it often just delays the inevitable by 2.5 seconds.

QSS often on mages only delays the inevitable by not even a second unless it is someone like Malzahar really. No other champ do you really need it for mid. Most abilities don't have their damage tied to long duration disables other than maybe Veigar but he has the nerf bat swinging at him.

good point as well. What about on a support? get out of a stun or suppress to save adc or apc. To have it and chalice would be a lot of utility. I feel like there just isn't enough to buy. Now dfg is gone. What else is left mid to late game after rab cap and zhon? There needs to be a third 100-120 ap item.
