What are the easiest champs for each position?
I'm trying to get a friend who is completely new to MOBAs in to League. What do you guys think would be the mechanically easiest picks for him to play for each position?

Wouldn't really reccomend them going jungle, it's way different from any other role in the game, also, you can experiment with midlane. There really is no "wrong" pick.
In terms of simplicity rather than effectiveness, heres what I got.

I'm gonna be honest here, from my own experiences, either playing them or going against them:

(Ahri is a good champion to let beginners learn to land skill shots, due to the fact that her q goes through minions)

I don't play top or jungle so I won't put my thoughts on those lanes:
Mid:
Veigar is about as straightforward as a champion gets, particularly with Glacial Augment. You Q farm for the first 15 mins or so and then melt everyone. Lux has extremely forgiving hitboxes and isn't really weak at any point in the game. Annie has a point-and-click "I win" button on her R.
ADC:
All three of these champions are very safe, easy to learn, and with little effort anyone can perform sufficiently in lane. I will say Tristana and Ezreal have a higher skill cap but as far as pick-up-and-play these champs are golden.
Support:
all three of these champions are very good all stages of the game, a little tricky to know when to engage with naut/leona, but once that's figured out they aren't terrible to pick up. Nami in my opinion is arguably the most well-rounded support right now. Not crazy OP, not useless, and has great synergy with several ADCs.
