Please for the love of God let us exclude one role from our queues

I hate jungling. I have no interest in learning how to jungle. I have no interest in learning the champs that jungle. I do not want to play this role, and yet I am often filled to it. This results in a guaranteed loss for our team most of the time.

I can lane fairly competently. I might not win but at least I won't feed. I cannot play this role though, and I don't want to. I don't mind waiting 15-20 minutes for a game. I just do not want to jungle. Can we exclude a role so that I don't get it if I get filled, please?

You que up for Primary, Secondary, and have one "Never" role? They could keep it probably up to Diamond Q.

Actually I would imagine the easiest way to implement would be Primary: NOT, Secondary: The role you don't want. Now instead of picking two roles you prefer, it will just remove you from one role and evenly weight you for the others. Your method would also be possible, but it would be more likely to create queue time issues because it's another condition for the matchmaker to track, whereas a simple NOT filter would give the matchmaker more freedom and hopefully keep the overall speed the same if not better.

The reason for autofill is that certain roles are less popular; if you could just say "I don't want this role ever", then the less popular roles would invariably be chosen, which means autofill can't do its job.

I'm saying auto fill still ignores your wishes and will put you in whatever role it needs, but occasionally I get autofilled mid lane when I would rather be support. By allowing us to pick NOT Mid, or NOT Jungle, or NOT support then it could potentially limit the number of times I end up autofilled.

The suggestion to ignore autofill is tricky though. Honestly I would like to see this NOT option implemented and maybe have the ability to opt out of autofill implemented with it on a limited trial basis, to gather data on the effect on queue times.

Only for the brats who won't support. Tbh I get filled to adc more than anything else and I hate it. I think jg+bot exclusion combined would easily outweigh support

It increases queue times for everyone, even those who queue as support, because you have to find an enemy support, too.

True. Even then I wouldn't mind. I'd rather not have a tilted player who'd rather skin themselves than play support than have a fast queue time.

And I would rather not play in the bot lane carry role than anywhere else to not be a handicap than have a faster queue time.

Would also decrease queue times as there will be less dodging due to autofill

Valid feedback, but I personally don't mind autofill, especially if they're going to have separate MMRs for each role in the near future. I won't mind autofilling for a game, even if I despise the role (can't Jungle without falling behind; can't Top without feeding or opening lane). Overall, I think everyone's experience is better for it, even with those few painful games, although keep in mind that I play Support frequently so my view is tinted by that.

Is support still the least qued? If I que jungle it almost always insta pops and I usually get auto filled ADC or top (maybe just "lucky I hate top though lol)

brand, morg, pyke and zyra are simply so strong that people don't really have to "support" anymore

Yeah and none of them are really super hard to play. I can see why people dont want to be a heal/shield bitch but most of the meta supports are basically like playing mid but you dont CS.

Idk, I main support and I didn't have to play my secondary role a single time in this entire season, which leaves me to believe that the support role is still highly underrepresented.

But hey, my que times are pretty much non-existend so I don't mind.

I'll gladly go support over mid. Mid is a shitfest these days, I'd better go supp with a safer pattern like Rakan, Blitz or Thresh than risk all these level 2 oneshots by 1 guy without ganks.

adc is the least picked role, jungle is also generally less picked than supp at this point but that ones pretty close while adc is way ahead.

Currently Jungle is the least played I think. At least support you can pick a mage or run it down with Ali and have fun. If you have no clue what you are doing in jungle you just get crapped on.

Jungle is least played because it has the highest impact potential, and carry potential. It also requires the most forsight, and understanding of how the games develop.

Not to mention if ANYTHING goes wrong on your team, its your fault. Top, bottom, and mid could all feed 5 kills in 5 minutes, but its your fault you weren't in 3 lanes at once to stop each death simultaneously.

Or there would be more people like me who would chose to fill including support as one of the roles. I can play any role except ADC. It is my fear for getting ADC that prevents me from ever choosing fill.

In fact, there should_ be no team selection_, no roles should be assigned before the match - the players should just figure it out for themselves.

Riot tried this already in a Latin American server (I forgot which one). The result was that most players vetoed support and that resulted in more players getting autofilled as support, which resulted in more players vetoing support and so on.

Riot already tested a role veto system a while back. It failed horribly because everyone vetoed support.

Nah, they did a live test with the current version. People just excluded Support and the queue times skyrocketed for everyone. Someone else posted a link to the explanation above.

Ranked changes in preseason 9 should fix this. Your rank in each role will be separate so you don't get matched at the skill level of your best role while being auto-filled in your worst role.

Just do what every other selfish kid does. Trollpick smth like heimerdinger jungle and expect someone else to queudodge for you, not like riot cares one bit about trolling, even in ranked. Aslong as you say nothing in the chat everything is ok.

I just dodge when I have to jg. I gave up after I started tracking the enemy jg, warned my laners when they would be ganking, but they still died to it and flamed me.
