Climbing is much easier than I expected

Granted I've only played 20 games so far(placements included) but I went from S5 to S3 in the 10 games after placements. Haven't seen a single troll outside champion select, because I(or someone else) usually dodges to spare everyone else. People communicate, they still flame but overall not as toxic as I would have expected. Honestly, if I just keep going like this, I could probably jump another 2 divisions in my next series.

Although, I could just be a boosted animal in the making. [slayer-jinx-wink]

Holy crap, I've seen people stuck in some Division for 1000+ games, this is amazing. Good luck in further climbing dude.

Thank you by the way, I'm inspired by your streak now.

I'm going to break down how that whole thing went mate, just part of my contributions to the boards like i do each season. Hopefully there will be some tidbits you might learn from, some things to inspire you, lessons you can learn on the sly.

Happy to pitch in around here.

Took me about 3 weeks for all that ;-P

Is this your first season or no?

Not quite, I played placements last season because I was like, "Hell yeah Ranked," after 3 years of Normals and ended up in S2. I played one game and never touched it again. This seasons was almost the same, I did my placements(went 3-7 yowza) but eventually got back it again after like 5 months, which is now. Honestly I feel like I'm a bit too casual for Ranked tbh XD

I found climbing to be easier if you take breaks after losses. I usually play anywhere from 2-4 ranked games in a sitting, but I use to play 6-7 and dedicate a day to it. I would usually end up in the same spot by the end of the day or around the same spot.

Now I play until I lose 2 games in a row. After the second loss I usually take a break. This strategy has helped a lot recently.

I actually did the same, I took the breaks so that I'd lessen my chances of tanking my MMR because of tilt, that way it stayed really high when I got to series. I'm doing the same thing right now, currently I'm in S3 but my MMR seems to be around S1-G5 level, if I keep it that way ad win it'll increase and bump me and another few divisions in my next series.....I'm kind of playing the system in a way now that I think about it.
