I feel bad for playing mages mid
Beyond just being a terrible player lately I mean. It doesn't feel like I'm impacting the game in a meaningful way, even when I play well. With the durability of "squish", I'm not enduring teamfights long enough in many cases to have a sustained dps.
Although, looking at recent Riot updates I bring you: "Seeing mages come to be played in the support position over the last few years, for example, has generally seemed like a strong positive..."
I know I'm taking this out of context... but if this is what's happening, supports should equally feel good going mid. They're not though. It feels like it's overcrowding the "support" pick (an underfilled role apparently anyways) with an amalgam of choices. I'm not seeing a lot of ups for mages lately. The fact that many of them rely solely on masteries for burst via Greenfather's and Thunderlord's really just doesn't have me feeling any sort of confidence in the health of the role going forward.
