While I never gave any money to Riot, most of my friends did. The F2P model is really the best way to go. It gets the game big. I'd play Overwatch if it was free. Some of my friends bought it but they stopped playing because not enough friends play it. You have to get big to get bigger.

I've owned all the champions since season 5 so I feel cheated any time I open a chest and get a champion shard. Skin shard hunting is also unrewarding since you can get shards for skins you already own.

marpatt113 votesthere are around 261 skins that aren't on the store, aside from the hextech crafting skins that you can get like hextech annie, but most of them besides a few holiday vic and champ skins are really old, which is why they aren't on the store so unless you're a collector of skins I don't think great orbs are great, they ain't even good.

Hello I am Bird3 votesI got the dungeon pass mostly for the Summoner icon and the ward, but also because it advertised a bunch of extra shit that wasn't actually in there (Before the forum post was changed) so I was expecting to get like 3 skin shards. Nonetheless, I'm having fun with the new quests, and the good orbs from malzahar's quest mixed with the good orb from the bundle got me a dark star ward which is pretty cool. But yes, I feel like for 10$ of RP (I already had some left over) it's VERY underwhelming. Also, the mega orb was also really disappointing. I'll stick with the great orbs.

ForFoxSakes2 votesWas pretty tempted to get a mega orb for my hec, but then left w 50 tickets would mean a key frag and 10 essence which isnt much. Got the 120 and 80 orb instead, got a morgana champ shard... one of the cheapest champs out there, and a soccer lucian shard.
A lot of grinding for very little. Yes free is free but not a very exciting event or rewarding. The new SR map minions and buildings are super nice though

ThatHaleState2 votesI agree with this. The chance to get the new Hec skin and possibly 2 gemstones is awesome and all, but legacy skins are mostly legacy for a reason. They were old and not up to snuff with the current standards. Most of the legacy skins you get were purchasable for 520. This means that, if you don't want it or already have it, the skin is worth significantly less Orange dust than the average.
