Why do you get punished for the random luck of having 4 decent players?

We are rewarding players with BS icons that dont mean anything for how good they do in game, but we are still punishing/rewarding players for doing solo queue ranked on a luck based system. Why cant we reward their play for how they individually do in that game instead of punishing the person who gets an S due to the fact that the people around him couldnt keep up with him.

If we focus on making ranked games more about individual performance in solo queu, it will help get everyones skill level up as well in my opinion.

Right now ranked is a game of russian roulette in solo, so its become almost unplayable

What you are missing is that "Individual Skill Level" needs to include "Ability to Positively Effect Team".

Because it's 5 Players in Unison that matter, not 1 trying to Cowboy Carry the Team.

It is a good idea, but when it is used in action it collapses and is a failure. Just like Communism.

I have seen some bad matchmaking but i dont get paired with people of skill that much worst or better than me. You can be surprised how small things look large in league. If someone makes a minor slip and takes that extra tower shot thats gets them killed a oppenent can use that to snowball and the higher up you go the worst that gets as players know how to use advatages

"Sir, the company just lost 5 million dollars in revenue." "Oh yeah? You're fired." "You can't fire me. It wasn't me that caused the loss. I had my share of sales, I turned in all my quarterly reports, I did every-" "You're still fired." "Why?" "Because I can't afford to keep half the sales staff around after losing 5 million dollars."
