If I block you after the match..why cant riot make it so we dont get matched up again.

This bothers me so much. Lets say I block a guy for whatever reason. WHY AM I MATCHED UP WITH HIM AGAIN.....I obviously dont want to play with him again, most likely he was toxic or not fun to play with, but now I have to either endure a time penalty to dodge, put up with him for another game, or leave him muted and risk not having proper communication. Why is it so hard to just have something in place where you dont get paired up with someone you blocked?

Example of this. Had this duo bot lane, that confessed they were drunk and high, and they fed and flamed everyone, (inclluding the opposite team) the entire game. It ruined everyones mood. I had to mute everyone so I wouldnt get all chat spammed. So logically, I go and block both of them. Then I ready up another draft, and what do you know, they are both on their again. Now im waiting 5 minutes because I didnt want to deal with it.

Because then what happens when you block everyone? You'll either be with people far below your ranking or higher. Don't get me wrong I've block people and instantly played with them again but the best way to stop that from happening is to just take a 5-10min break.

I highly doubt that I will block the couple million NA server users. Im a passive game player. I dont speak much, and I just use pings to communicate. So my block list isnt that high either.

you can very well block everyone specially the higher up you get in rank. Since the system would have to check not only for you but 10 more players to make sure that no one that is currently in the match has blocked anyone that is currently in the match. Now this wouldn't be such a big issue at lower tiers but now imagine anything beyond diamond tier? players there pretty much constantly play against the same players over and over so all it would take is for 10 people to block one at random just one and you will see queue times explode to massive proportions

So the solution should be to remove the toxicity at a higher rate. If they are toxic and you report. There should be better enforcement.

The solution is to eat some bread and cheese for 5 minutes before spamming the Play Again button.

what toxicity? you can block anyone for whatever reason. You can block them simply because they had ONE bad game

And after que times explode, those players will either stop being dicks or have to go play another game. I say do it and see what happens anyway.

do you have issues reading or something? you can block anyone for ANYTHING, they don't even need to do anything toxic or bad. Why even implement something like this that you will barely ever find use for and will just affect way more people than help in anything. There is 0 benefit for something like this since you can just wait around 2 mins if you truly don't want to play with the same person and even then the chances of you playing with the same person are so low anyways... unless you play in one of those ties where most are sleeping

Yes, I know and if people did that then eventually they would screw themselves. So ban away who you want with full understanding that if you ban for stupid reasons you will eventually make your ques longer. You are the one banning and if the person you ban is only banned by you, they have plenty of other people to play with. Do you not understand what long term anything means?

i'm pretty sure reporting a player will que you with them less, but I don't remember if that's the case or not.

However, there's a point where you may not run into them for an extended period of time and in the future if you do run into them you'll most likely not remember. I've at least run into two or three people I blocked at some point and I don't even remember who they are or why they were ever blocked.

Blocking is only effective in the game and not really at any other point (unless they're trying to contact you belligerently so blocking keeps them from friend requesting you).

I agree... Why does it have to be the same team though?

THIS -----> Why cant it be on the other team? <----- THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

At the end of the match it shows me who I have blocked and who I don't, so why does it have to be the same team.

I find the excuse that there is not enough players for me to make a match........ I can see if LOL was a less popular game then I would agree with you. Gold or lower there should be enough players for to not be paired up with a member on your block list. PLAT or better YOU have no choice to be paired with a block list member .

To me this makes more sense to making a block list that really blocks...Or call it an ignore list... IGNORE DOES NOT MEAN BLOCK!!!

Very Hard Engage1 votes

if they did that then master + tier would be so much easier. ignore everyone your rank, you're forced to play with as low as low diamond + high plat players, results are...........?

They could probably make it so that you don't end up with blocked players on your own team as long as that wouldn't push your queue time to being above a certain threshold on average. Limiting you to have x number of players blocked could also help here, so that you really have to pick the people carefully who you can't stand to play with and not just block every random guy who mains champions you don't think are good or who you argued with one time.
