Mid laners have so much power
It just feels so defeating to play top lane in the current meta in low elo imo. Compared to mid lane, winning from top lane is a joke. Forget mid-lane mechanics and just look at the champs even. Most top laners need to not only be fed but also have the mechanics to bypass an enemy teams front line consistently to carry or make their own picks using game knowledge. A LOT of top lanes require you to be at least 2-0 or 40+cs advantaged on your enemy to make an impact. Comparing that to common mid laners it just isn't true.
A 0-0-0 Annie with average CS can still 2 shot any squishy AND group of squishies. Going through some Mid Laners that scale regardless of lane performance: Anivia, Annie, Lux, Syndra, Orianna, Malzahar, Brand and Karthus. All of these mid lanes can either feed or go even in lane but their superior CS BUILT INTO THEIR KIT allows them to hard carry with ease. By just using their kit to CS they can erase multiple champions in a teamfight regardless of how ahead they are unless they are tanks. These champs can turn any fight into a 4v5, 3v5, 2v5, etc with low effort and low advantage required. Orianna is known for her late game spike where she suddenly can one shot 3 champs and burn flashes just by sending her ball near people in fear. Balance? These champs even do the shit while playing support. EVEN AS SUPPORT.
As an example, Recently had a 2-4-3 Lux 10cs E + Ult our team Kill our ADC+Support and half health 2 of our teammates...How is that balanced. A behind support literally single handedly wins a teamfight with 2 fairly easy to hit abilites with basically 0 score or CS.
Then you have the cancer mid-laners that can lose lane AND CS but come back with 1-2 kills and hard carry. @Talon, @Yasuo, @Akali, @Katarina. No matter how behind these champs are, once you see "enemy double kill" you just lost the game.
I just checked the winrates and tier list and all the champions I listed are either top win-rates across the elos or God Tier/Tier 1. Coincidence.
BEFORE YOU COMMENT: I understand these champs by themselves are not broken. A coordinated team can easily shut down these champs. But the problem lies in where 80% of your game's population is in low elo and 95% of your population plays SOLO QUEUE. This means if I am laning against a Yasuo who needs hard CC to stop from snowballing and my team won't coordinate and CC him and I don't have CC I lost the game. Good example being I recently played Vladimir vs Yasuo top. Beat him 3-1 up by 30 cs in lane. Guess who gets a triple kill in a fight because no one will CC OR IGNITE OR EXHAUST HIM. Guess who then solo carried a game by being just 3-3 average CS? Yasuo. Had my team been coordinated that wouldn't have happened but that isn't how solo queue works. So commenting dumb things like CC the Yasuo doesn't work in Solo Queue unless you have the hard CC.
