There is no good way to nerf Irelia's numbers right now because she simply has too much crap in her kit. Try breaking down everything she has, and you see that it's way too much flexibility.

disregardable1 votesThat's not unique to Irelia. Most fighters have loaded kits like that to make up for being melee. The ones that don't are the ones with ridiculously broken abilities, like Trynd's invincible, Yi Q, Fiora's old blade waltz...

Irelia is not tanky unless you build tanky, she doesn't have any def steroids.

Yeah, you are right but that still doesn't mean her kit has tankiness.
If you build full tank on vayne you could claim that vayne has tankiness too (and her true damage also synergises with attack speed).
Woook3r3 votesshes melee so she has higher base stats. she also has higher per lvl stats. and she builds hp with triforce. Shes a bit tanky. not exactly easy to kill.
