Make Ignite Execution type ability?

summoner 14 does 5% target missing health as true damage each second for 5 seconds maybe -> 23% to 40% healing reduction based on your champion level

if you think about it Grievous Woulds may be based the same way for all items and spells to lower its early game power

50 true damage / sec for every 1000 missing health 100 true damage / sec for every 2000 missing health

I think Ignite sucks a bit and needs to to better job. 5% target missing health is good way to make execution spell giving it proper counterplay. If you are low on health and get executed then its your fault for being careless to how much damage you take while those who use ignite will feel rewarded for proper use. Its damage over time, it isn't insta burst therefor it gives you tons of time for you to react to it

I've seen many players that i was able to go down to 2% health, then they pop up 1 health potion and completely mitigate Ignite and this makes me quite mad that 1 health potion destroys the effect 180 seconds cooldown Summoner Spell. It just doesn't feel fair

I don't care if you are squishy carry or a tank, you must pay attention to how much damage you take

90% of the time ignite is being used as FINISHER type ability and not so much because of the Healing Reduction. Therefor we should push the ability into finishing off targets rather than reduce their healing since we also got items for that

I think we should buy certain items to counter healing item 3123 My observations are that ADCs ignore this item which is wrong if there is strong healer like Soraka. The item itself might need nerf to the healing reduction part so it doesn't counter soraka too hard early game. Late game is OK

item 3165 Almost every mage buys Nomicon

item 3075 Riot would possibly add Grievous Wounds to Thornmail so you must buy MR to counter it which is the proper answer to the item

I don't know how you use ignite. I use it for the healing reduction. True damage is always nice too ;)

then what the hell are those items used for? item 3123 item 3165 by that logic i guess the Healing reduction on them is redundant too

I can assure you ignite is used to finish off targets for 90% of the times is being used and healing reduction not so much

It's an all-in tool not an execute like you claim.

i know perfectly what is but its generally used to finish off targets and currently it does its job poorly

It does its job fine. You just want to make it OP. You want to make it guarantee kills which is not what it is used for. It's a tool used for all ins just like exhaust is a tool to counter all ins.

I mean, already, it's pretty much just used for kill pressure. I think an execute mechanic would pigeonhole it, yet also be sort of redundant.

The thing is, it's true damage so it's damage has to be the value that it states or else it's not true damage. It can't be amplified, modified, or reduced by anything.

what i suggested is 5% target missing health each second as true damage

that is 50 true damage / sec for every 1000 target missing health 100 true damage / sec for every 2000 target missing health

so it does scale as you see
