Garen Balance issue

So Garen got some love with the juggernaut update. That true damage is awesome and I like the direction but something that annoys me is he is a juggernaut. They are supposed to be slow but I am seeing MORE and MORE builds around him being a fast Assassin running at whoever is the "Villain" as fast as possible. MS runes and Masteries, Swift boots, Dead Man's Plate, and his Q make him one of the fastest things on the map with a few exceptions.

Anyone else think they need to tone down the speed buff? Maybe remove the scaling duration for a flat one? 3.5 seconds of speed boost on a supposedly slow Juggernaut seems contrary to the image they described. Maybe make it 1.75 or 2 seconds at all levels. I would also suggest reducing the boost to like 20%-25% cause 30% is a bit much. Since it also removes slows I think that will give him a good way to catch someone without having this weird Fast Running Juggernaut Assassin thing I am seeing a lot of recently.

Garen has relied on movement speed for a few seasons now. His recommended items even had Ghostblade in them for a time. The changes really just made Garen easier to play, he kept the same playstyle and the same capabilities. He just get's rolling faster than before.

I would honestly rather see his damage toned down rather than his movement speed. The juggernaut changes were not made in an attempt to change his playstyle, so I don't see why is playstyle should be nerfed to make up for the juggernaut changes.

As for the "slow" part of juggernauts, slow is not the same thing as immobile. Juggernauts are immobile, not necessarily slow.

The problem is the identity they want with Garen. They want this hard hitting immobile tank. But what we are getting with Garen is this fast running slow removing heavy hitter. The true damage from his changes is awesome and makes being caught a big deal. As for the play style. I did not see this speed reliance on Garen. Instead I saw a tanky dude that rushed out of the bush with a boost of short lasting speed silencing and then dealing a good chunk of damage. Now instead we have him running you down from across the Map. I dont mind speed boosting like ghostblade. its temporary and has a decent CD. But when you stack FULL MS buffs and items so you can just run people down almost no matter what they do while also supposedly being able to get away from him as a way to counterplay then there is an issue.

They never said anything about him being completely immobile. If they did that than he'd be a worse form of Darius, or Mordekaiser. He always had the Run fast kit. That is part of his identity along with being a tanky health regen machine.

Again, slow =/= immobile. You want him slow, but their definition of immobile doesn't match that. Immobile means if you are a mobile champion you can just hop a wall and be safe, since he has to run all the way around. Immobile means you have to use flash to engage on a mobile target if they do not position poorly.

Immobile does not mean anyone everyone else can outrun you. Seriously, Garen has to build movement speed because otherwise people would just walk away from him and render him useless. Morde has range, Darius has slows and a pull, Skarner has a slow, stun, speed boost, and his ult, where as Garen only has his movement speed.

Yea he was kind of always fast but even if he caught you you did not die in the spin to win when he built tanky now you do and you can not run out of it.
