For a low, low price of 250 gold at level 9, you can upgrade you warding trinket and have a free 3 minute ward every 60 seconds. I can't count how many games I've won because of vision acquired thanks to this, or how many people still have a full 6 item build without any trinket upgrade at the end of the game.

Deep Terror Nami1 votesI'm not too sure about the downvotes, but upgraded yellow trinket is a very attractive option for the lower tiers who don't utilize a Sweeping Lens anyway.

Deep Terror Nami1 votesIt really probably was some bad players that just thought to themselves "they get 3-4 sweeping lenses in LCS, so this is wrong", not taking into consideration those are playing at very high levels of skill and teamwork.
