There's a lot of on demand mobility

You click a button and you get to move to point B asap this is becoming too familiar for new abilities, but what if using some mobility took some investment? What if we made that a champion theme?

So how about switching up new mobility to be ramped up on:

I reckon it's a novel idea that mobility comes in after a little investment, if we copy pasta'd the above I'd also add in pivots between attacks so your movements weren't so predictable.

Here's a quick thought experiment on a passive:

Whenever you hit or get hit by something you gain a charge. Abilities cost charges; CDR/Mana reduces charges required to use abilities [caps at 'y' charges(?)] Charges degenerate outside combat.

Q is a conical attack (costs the least charges W a shield (costs more than Q, less than E) E a dash (costs the a lot up front but becomes cheaper the more you use it) R a steroid (consumes charges over time and increases its effect over time: like a slow eventually becomes a stun)

I'm not quite sure what your post and the gif have to do with one another, Leoric's March of the Black King is a slow dash that deals AoE damage in front of him 3 times over the duration, it's not any different than the other dashes we're used to.

You have to attack twice before you get to use the dash ergo it's not on demand, on demand mobility would mean you'd get the dash at the beginning rather than the end.

Coming from someone who plays Leoric a lot... that's incorrect. You cast the ability and it moves you in the direction you cast it, and it sends out an AoE in front of you once per second that heals you for each enemy hit, the entire thing takes 3 seconds to complete. There isn't any prerequisite to being able to activate it, and there isn't any interaction you gain while it's active.

It's simply: Cast>Automatically move in the direction you cast>Automatically swing in an AoE thrice while moving>Ability ends. The entire ability is an extremely slow dash that takes 3 seconds to get from point A to point B.
