i got sat on by a fucking graves and i was laning vs an irelia. how did you think my lane went? couldnt do a single thing because irelia is a DISGUSTING CHAMPION with so much overloaded stats and the ability to get 1 part of an item and melt your hp bar with a point and click. i played as safe as possible but she would jsut w me twice for half my hp and then dive me.

irelia did 16.4k damage to champs in the game where you did 29.1k

irelia has sustain and true damage riven dont. riven has zero resources and gets bonus ad on passive and gets def shield and dash that scales with ad...

she can only stun you if you have more hp then she does... other wise its a slow

Because its a point and click 2 second stun on a 4 second cooldown on a duelist. The condition for it stunning is complete bullshit because you are supposed to not fight back if you don't want to get stunned.

If you have less health than Irelia you're losing the fight and going to die, or you're Tryndamere.

That's the problem. Have more health than Irelia? She stuns you and wins. Have less health than her? She just continues beating your ass.

There's no way to avoid the stun short of just not fighting her. And Riven's stun is a laughable .75 seconds and has much less range. It's possible to miss it.

You're committing a strawman.

I said that was the problem with her stun. Her entire kit is problematic when taken as a whole, but yeah, the stun is in fact a big part of it, especially in laning. It's a poorly-designed ability. What is there to play around?

The true damage is only a small portion. Sheen proc does more and she is the best abuser in the game of it.

ok but that being said ... sheen procs bonus damage of ad so randiums would be good vs the true damage giving hp and then the physical damage from the armor from it... the attack speed slow... aoe slow... and if she gets to tri force it reduces crit damage if she crits

then you still have mercs to negate her E

Yea but Irelia is scariest early and mid game. You probably already got sodomized by the time you finished randuins. Also stun is maxed second in most matchups so early mercs isn't really that amazing.

actually when i have played vs her she is weak early. and has to max w 1st then e and q last... she hits her power spike about lvl 9 and then again at 11 she is best mid game

Theres a lot to play around from Irelia's perspective. When she wants to attack you head on, she has to setup the stun to work most typically by Qing to a minion. You think of it in terms of beating Irelia in a duel, where she can certainly get the stun off. But its really a limiting factor for her ability to attack the way that, say, Renekton can.

To kill irelia her hp has to be lower then your own. It is such a ridiculous ability that as a Tryndamere that is ghosted and with my E to gapclose and my W slow that she was able to kite me until I was forced to ult. On a champion with no escapes.
