And that's why almost every top laner on this board has been feeling rather smug towards ADCs. More than usual anyway.
I've been feeling it a long time since they complain about dying easy when squishy.
ill admit, this is one of the few post by you I agree with. Top lane has been a shit hole for a long while now and has been dealing with the stuff from bot lane (that only recently started) for multiple seasons. Because of champion interactions and stuff it's still been a carriable position, but with tower changes, tp nerfs, and other stuff it's become the legitimate "island" that it's known for...only now by the time you come out of that island the game is already decided.
Bot lane can deal with ziggs and a few ganks until top is fixed for being completely useless, because once top lane has power some of those ganks will have to be delegated to the top side of the map
Ranged Top laners is like cheating. There wasn't any counterpicking involved. No matter how tanky you may be able to get, a ranged poke based champ is disgusting against a melee tank with no poke whatsoever. You can't even trade without letting them get 1-3 hits off on you before you can get close.
if your losing top lane after 1 gank your garbage at the role or the champion your on or both 4 man ganks bot lane are 90% GOING to kill that lane that got ganked nothing they can do about it. the difference is at 30mins in when the game is already decided or close to it adc's are barely beginning to scale that's insanity! a tank with 1 item goes from manageable to completely unstoppable by anyone squishy that doesn't have true damage
