Befor elise first was dumpstered, she had 1.5sec on thet stun all ranks, she got everything nerfed but stayed pick/ban in proplay, while getting rather weak in soloQ.
When they finally nerfed that early stun duration, and she kinda disapeared.
Now they have buffed her early stun duration and her damage, and she went to the problem she was after release, beeing a insanly dominant early jungler, even more than lee ever was, and what they do now is exactly the same as in the past: nerf her damage, leave the high stun duration, so she's stays a highly contested pick in proplay, a dominant early translating into a stunbot with wardstone is prefectly fine for them, but sucks in soloQ once again and fails to deliver a reasonable fantasy beyond the early- to mid-game.
pretty similar with reksai, heavy earlygame, strong map pressure midgame, very little teamfight impact,especially later on, mostly used as mobile radar with sightstione that can be used as meatwall - not a compelling lategame fantasy for her, but combined with that massive early very funktional in proffesional play.
