"Hey trade me mid"
"no, sorry I'm not a good top"
guy bans my pick intended character
Well, i guess that's one feature I'm not using anymore.

It was one asshole, not the system :/
Although, I can certainly understand how you feel. What a jerk (he was)...
That's why I never hover my intended pick anymore. I've had so many people think they are being funny and banning what I wanted to play. I've had first pick on my team and had someone ban what I wanted and do the "meh didn't want to see it".
Intended pick is great too, but sadly as usual, trolls will be trolls.
oh for sure, never hover your intended champion. I've seen so many people ban intended champions away from their own teammates. Like I was watching Phreak's stream. He was hovering Janna, and the adc banned Janna and said "I dont want to have a Janna support"
I don't even have to hover my pick to have my team ban my intended champ :')
I did that mid trade yesterday. Guy ended up feeding. Much regret was had.
See, that's why you should try to play it smart with the pick/ban system. I hover things that have no business being in my lane but would be ban-worthy (like azir top, or zed support). Then if they do ban it you get rid of something powerful for practically nothing.
I always use pick intent because I'm always up for a good ole' AP shaco game if my team decides to ban my main.
Pick intent is good fun unless you actually show the champion you want to play, I usually pick the support role and intent Kassadin, everyone in my team has a panic attack and it goes like this:
Adc- No! please not
.
Me- Oh ok, I also have
Adc- please pick a tank
Me- Like
? I also have
if you want.
Adc- Do you want to go adc?
Me- No ty, I am ok :)
Adc :(
I change my pick to Alistar at the last moment.
I don't use intended pick because of trolls and I don't like people knowing what I'm going to pick in case they end up in the other team if the match lobby drops and we get matched up again.
Simple solution, can't ban someone's pick intent.
Or an even simpler solution, release solo queue
Use you pick intent AFTER your team have finished baning, i let them bitch all they want when they see me picking one of my mains
/
That's why I just hover something I'm not actually considering.Like hovering
or
if I'm top.Or hovering
or
if I'm support.
I have had this happen to me before, but i just picked another champ.
The only way to combat it is to ignore it.
