Getting really tired of dynamic queue AKA Whoever gets more smurfs wins

Obligatory "dynamic queue sucks" post, sorry.

Low elo is an absolute mess right now. Not saying smurfs haven't always existed, but I honestly can't even remember the last time I had a close game. This game is getting less fun every time I play. It feels like i have absolutely no impact on whether my team wins or loses.

This isn't about me bitching about how hard it is to climb - I'm right where I belong . It's about feeling like I'm an innocent bystander watching giants go at it at best and getting absolutely trashed in lane by people who are apparently a full league lower at worst. The ranked system is starting to feel incredibly arbitrary when one of the main reasons I got hooked on the game is because I used to feel like climbing meant something.

Try plat 5 where you pray that your team has plat banners and not silver banners, because season 5 banners actually matter...

And then, you see the enemy team of full same club names, while your team has 2 silver banners, 2 gold banners and you as the sole plat banner, with the silver banner guys talking about drinking during the pregame chat.

You sink in despair.

Every elo is fucked equally, in Diamond you either play in 3-4 man premade or you dont play at all.

I fail to see the logic of how DQ causes this problem... The same thing would happen in Solo queue, no? Four solo queue smurfs vs three solo queue smurfs would still usually kill the three solo queue smurfs. If you mean teams of smurfs, then I can understand, but that was never made clear and it is a different topic about DQ = premades, not DQ = smurfs.

Ever since they destroyed my Poppy i cursed Riot i hope their game dies.

And .. they are doing perfect job.

Dynamic queue + smurfs. ( i wonder what could go wrong with that ;> ) Tank ekko and generally lack of balance. Gutting a lot of mages. etc.

Riot bring old Poppy back and i will remove the curse.

I was writing posts 3 years ago that Riot should have a stance against smurfing just like it does against buying and selling accounts.

Having a secondary account and "playing fair" is fine. Taking steps to artificially lower the rank, or acquiring the account from someone else just to have fun in low Elo, is terrible for the game.

I think it has a lot to do with the hard reset, a lot of gold, plat, and all silver players were put in Bronze. Then there is the dynamic queue where higher ranked players are playing with their friends to boost them out of low elo, and just normal elo boosters. Silver 3 is pretty chaotic with the flow of new players, smurfs, and your usual silver player.

I haven't played in a few years but back then only a carry could move through ranks. IDK if it is still that way now.

It's a mess right now. I was gold 5 a month ago, now I'm silver 5 because my luck of getting feeders and no smurphs on my team is amazing...

I had to switch out of maining support to one of the other roles to even have a chance at climbing back to gold 5 because being a support in dynamic queue soloing Sucks more dick than a kardashian

I can: yesterday. Both teams lost inhibs, one teamfight could have won for either side. In fact we were winning until one of my teammates tried to solo baron and got it just low enough for the enemy to easily finish after they killed him, then go on to take elder. Which must have felt epic for them, although I was a bit too salty to appreciate it properly (having been among the "god no don't try to baron right now" faction of our team).

No one can say one player didn't influence the outcome of that game, even though I was not that player in that particular game.

Low elo has always been a mess. DQ didn't really effect it all that much. its my unpopular opinion, but at least now dq offers you a chance to escape if you deserve it, queue up with freinds.

Upvoted, past 15 losses or so have been a result of my team usually having a smurf, who bought the account he's currently using and trolling because Riot can't do anything about it.

I feel it. Trying to climb to at least Silver right now, and when I went up to Bronze 1, I got into a game with a gold, 2 silver, and me and the other two were unranked. In game, we found out the enemy team was filled with 2 platinums, 1 gold, and 2 silvers. Got me down to 0 LP and now I'm scared to play another ranked because I might go back down to Bronze 2

The same problem existed before with "who has the better duo?" It should probably be a bit worse now, but i personally haven't experienced it.
