Requesting clarification of today's PBE Veigar changes.

So today a few changes hit Veigar on the PBE:

  • Baleful Strike (Q ) missile speed increased to 2200 from 1750.

  • Event Horizon (E) [now stops dashes early (such as Graves E, does NOT include blink/flash) that try to go through the wall vs letting them complete then stunning]

  • Event Horizon (E) the warning particle/delay now begins at the start of Veigar's E cast time (.25 seconds) rather than at the end.

So while they look like a step in the right direction, I have a question about the third change. Currently Veigar's stun has a cast time PLUS a 0.75 seconds of delay w/ warning particles. So, does this mean that his "warning particles" are displayed for a full second now, or does it mean that his cast time is now PART of his 0.75 second delay?

Thanks!

It means the cast time is now part of his .75 second delay, rather than it actually being a full second delay.

Originally when Veigar swung his little staff, the E wouldn't appear (even pre-rework) until after the animation, now the warning particle for E appears as soon as the animation starts.

i think it means you can't use dashed to get in or out of Veigar stuns, but you can use summoner 4 or other blinks to get out

That wasn't my question, but thanks. My question was about the warning particle/cast time change. The third one.

It means he has a .25 second cast time, with the delay starting at the same time as the cast time.

So it went from .25 second cast time + .75 second delay after to .25 second cast time + .75 second delay starting at cast.

It basically lost .5 seconds of delay (.25 + .75 = 1, .75-.25 = .5)

Thanks, but that's only a .25 second lower delay still. His cast time was always there, even pre rework. It's still 0.75 seconds between cast and activation, which is better than the current (live) version that has a full second delay.

No it means that instead of having 0.75s of warning AFTER a 0.25s cast delay, it has 0.75 seconds of warning STARTING WITH the 0.25s cast delay, ie the total delay is now 0.75 instead of 1.00
