how does one get out of plat?

now in my opinion, plat is my limit. im not good enough and the meta is not in my favor so diamond wont happen. yet all my friends say i can make it and they know i dont like these "im your friend so i gotta cheer you on" bullshit chants.

but how does one get out of plat? seriously, every game on both teams i see people that behave like bronze. and i was 2 seasons in bronze.

"no ss" "ping if you gank" "hey enemys got 5 ad, let me buy magic resist first" "enemy full ap, i will play rammus cause i want to xD" "report my dog team" "0 dragons even tho we went 0/7 in bot in less than 3 minutes"

honestly i miss gold. yes toxic people and idiots exist every where, but compared to plat and bronze, gold was like heaven.

seriously, how does one escape plat if the person themselfes isnt on dia level? in the current meta i dont consider myself plat. i dont even consider myself high gold. yet i made it to plat. so at least getting out of plat 4 should be possible.

well since i did enjoy gold more... if there was an option that makes it so you cant climb in rank or mmr, i'd literally hard cap myself at gold 2.

well maybe you are right. you get out of plat by being better then plat. just as any other elo/mmr/rank you are or were in

Nothing wrong with being plat. If you think plat matches with your skill level, then awesome, play in plat.

Iron 4 -> D2 Is all the same thing.

You only start to see neurons firing when you get into d1

Ban champs that would have a negative effect on your teams 'hovered' comp rather than banning champs that you hate. "A Yasuo on my team first picked, right now X champ is good and popular right now, I'll ban X then."

Constantly keep tabs of enemy summoner spells. And if you're a Jungler then you also need to keep tabs on possible and probably jungle timers and their pathing.

I'm not Diamond myself but I do know those attention of detail to those factors are what decide a game from being a see-saw to an absolute stomp.

If you know your enemies intentions, you've already won.

"Enemy jungler wants to take scuttler then gank" -> gank them at scuttler or gank before he does or counter the gank with your own.

"Enemy top does not have tp ready until xx:yy" -> gank or if they have tp down, force a fight with your own tp.

"Enemy jungler is taking blue" -> have your team bully him at blue

Pretty basic stuff I'm sure but the difference comes from your intuition and ability to estimate when events will occur at the right time and being able to capitalize on them.

ok

so well done, you are now good at league of legends. you have ascended the dregs of low elo to become the lowest of the high elo, you're good but you aren't very good yet because there are levels to these things.

to get to plat you had to come to grips with fundamentals of the game and develop consistency, now you need to establish the details of the game and those are ranging as fuck yet so gated by understanding that people don't know how to explain the game at that level of play without a subjective lense of a champion. so what does that mean for you? it means you must figure out the intricate details of how your champs of choice function, if you are one of those who plays whatever the game dictates they must play then you must establish details of interactions between these various champs and the map. you got your micro on point and you know enough macro to get by, now you have to get really good at map wide macro without losing your micro (or your sanity).

you say people stop watching the map and don't see ganks, yeah that's kinda true because people are focusing so much on their lane micro and macro that the rest of the map has to fall away for a bit, so in p5 you have to play some weird tempo savy jungler that just appears at the right place at the right time, so you have to know how your lanes play out in relation to your jungle matchups and... yeah this is why I just stay gold lol.

alternatively you're just such a mechanical beast that none of the macro starts mattering for you until you hit diamond but that's like one baby in a million.

Bro gold in NA is not easy. Coming from a man that has been plat since season 5. Peaking plat1 100lp several times. It's just this season.

So with being someone similar to you with being last season diamond and got ranked plat 4 now I can tell you this: Plat right now is a very unstable league. I dominated 3 games in a row walking straight to my promos. Then I got 2 team in which my teammates were on an 11 and 4 game lose streak or dieing 3 times before the jungler even finished his second buff. Then after those game I got a game where I could have went afk and would still win as my team was far superior in all things. The skill gaps between plat players right now is very big and awkward. I would say climbing out of it without being something like high dia or higher is based on playing way more games then usual as you will most likely climb but it will take way longer.
