Remember league of black cleaver?
Welcome to league of duskblade
Welcome to league of duskblade
Eh, it's not the same.
Everyone's building duskblade, but they're just building one.
League of Black Cleaver was "whichever team builds the most black cleavers wins." Everyone was not just building it, but building lots of them. Even Janna.
yea i guess but this still sucks :/
Is there video documentation of this meta? I am now extremely interested in seeing how games like this played out lmao
EDIT: Found a vid. I don't think Riot will ever let something like that happen again...
league of black cleaver was building multiple black cleavers not just one, you can't build multiple duskblades all it's passive's are unique this is not even remotely close to league of black cleaver, if anything i'd assume you're trolling with this thread
everybody and there mom is building duskblade just as they did with black cleaver except they dont stack them
The stacking is the important part though. That's like saying Ebola was as bad as the Black Plague, even though Ebola only killed 10-15 000 people and the Black plague 75-200 million people. Both were terrible diseases that killed a ton of people, but one was clearly worse. Duskblade is being built on a lot of ADs, but it's nowhere as bad as when nearly every single champion built 5-6 cleavers. Both were (are) exceptionally strong items, but one was in a league on its own.
Remember league of AD? Because we've been in it for about 4 years now.

More like since Mage rework ?
The mage rework was almost secondary in it's own patch. Most of the changes to champions were basically inconsequential (vel, brand, zyra), the hextech items are sitting at around a 4% sum purchase rate (including gunblade) and the majority of the patch's resources went into dividing support and mage itemization and the introduction of elemental dragons, rather than quality of life changes and compelling uniques.
Yes mages got their own update. The largest class, excluding fighters (but juggernauts had already gotten theirs), was pushed into a single update and even then, they were given significantly less consideration in their own update than any other class update. As the only other class update which implemented or changed core game mechanics was the tank update, but that was an update to rift hareld which was, and still is, a less core and influential mechanic than dragons.
Oh, and i almost forgot. They outright removed spell vamp and WotA with it.
The league of black cleaver never left. It's still the meta to build one on most AD top laners, and even some assassins.
League of Black Cleavers was every champion stacking multiple BC's regardless of role.
BC a core item and it's being built by its intended audience. You might as well be saying it's the League of Cleaver/Morellonomicon/Duskblade/Redemption with that attitude lol

remember League of Tanks? yea
